    Dat Shako

    I’m so hype.

Me too, Black Getter would be awesome. Now that I think about it, are we going to have, Shin Getter, Shin Dragon and Black Getter?? because we need pilots for those units.

      • Chogokin

The trailer has Black Getter and Shin Getter.

      • LynxAmali

Shin will probably have interchangeable pilots a la Aquarion. Hell, I’m hoping they pull on an Aquarion with Ryouma and co as one set and Go and co as another. I’d really love to have a team of Ryouma, Kei and Hayato. Shin Dragon will probably be exclusive to Go and Co.

I can see Black Getter being changeable like how it in D.

  • Gatchaman1

Cool but I’d really like Golion to be in SRW again. Enjoyed him in SRW W

    • Tom_Phoenix

GoLion’s appearance was kind of an anomaly, since it’s a preety obscure show in Japan proper. It’s one of the reasons why it was suspected that W might have been built with a potential localisation in mind, since GoLion and Orgun are much more popular outside of Japan (that and the fact that W marked the first time that an SRW consisted solely of shows that were fully or at least partially licensed in the US). Of course, even if there were such plans, nothing came out of it…

In any case, don’t hold your breath. It might appear again, of course, but considering SRW is primarily a game for the Japanese market, I kind of doubt GoLion is very high on the list of shows that B.B. Studio wants to use again.

      • Gatchaman1

I think there’s been more obscure titles in SRW than Golion

        • Tom_Phoenix

Even if that is the case, that’s not really relevant to what I was saying. Even if a show appears once in SRW, that hardly guarantees it a reappearance unless it was a popular show to begin with.

GoLion is a preety obscure show in Japan. The only reason why it isn’t even more obscure is due to the popularity of Voltron in North America, which, as I already mentioned, isn’t particularly relevant in this case.

Again, I never said GoLion will never reappear in SRW (stranger things have happened). I’m just saying it’s not a particularly likely candidate to do so.

    Dat Boss Borot.

So damn excited for this man, so damn excited.

  • SetzerGabbiani

This is awesome, but I’d like Dai 2 Ji Super Robot Taisen Original Generations to be next, please Bamco.

  • SolNeko

yoko taking out that ganmen, dear god i hope she becomes a playable unit

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Morandi/100000837836996 Daniel Morandi

She is a playable unit, she was in the Z2-1. This is Z2-2 which is the second half.

      • SolNeko

i meant playable as yomako on the bike using a rifle, the yoko tank isnt as awesome

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Morandi/100000837836996 Daniel Morandi

Aaah. No I don’t think so now. She need a unit because how she would fight in the space? i would be quite weird using an spacesuit.

This game makes me so hype it must be unhealthy, but I seriously couldn’t care less!! Ester is so love, hope her YBrasta combines with Crowes to form one sexy super robot!

    • Tom_Phoenix

I’d rather they didn’t. I’m getting tired of Real Robots constantly getting the shaft by being combined into Supers. Plus, with SRX, REX and Valzacard, there are already enough combining mecha in the Banpresto/B.B. Studio Originals roster.

I’d much rather see the two have some sort of combination attack.

      • http://twitter.com/#!/GuiltyRaioh ShinkaRaioh

Combination attacks are pure lameness D: I want them to combine, that way you can have both kinds, either play as one super robot unit or 2 real robots~

        • Tom_Phoenix

Except even when a “choice” is provided, one will inevitably (for one reason or another) be more useful than the other, thus rendering the whole concept entirely moot.

Also, I fail to see what is so “lame” about combination attacks. They give you more options to work with and add more variety to the animations, not to mention that they are easier for developers to make than entirely new units. Plus, considering how heavily ammo-based the Brasta is, having another attack for an EN sink wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.

That said, it would be nice if B.B. Studio could throw Super Robot fans a bone by making Marguerite’s recruitment canon, thus allowing you to use the Pearl Nail.

          • http://twitter.com/#!/GuiltyRaioh ShinkaRaioh

They could make you choose, like the short and long range in the first part. If you want to stay real and get a combo attack or something like that or if you want to make them combine. I don’t see them doing it, but I would love it, would raise the replayability as well.

There is no indepth reason why I find them not that exciting, I just like super robots more.

And yes, that’d be nice as well! And as a last solution there is still Gunleon~

          • Altritter

To each his own, but I’d feel like I got cheated by Banpresto if all we get is a palette-swapped Brasta for Esther, even if the two Brastas do get a combination attack. Or maybe we’ll just get upgraded versions of each Brasta without them combining into a super, I’d be somewhat okay with that.  I like reals and supers equally, I just would rather have more new animations, not less.

  • Cjs0511

If there’s gonna be a giant mech gather up…why not include the ones from evangelion?

    • Altritter

Different games have different series in them, there’s a LOT of mecha shows to choose from. Evangelion has been in SRW F/F Final, SRW Alpha, Alpha 3, MX and L.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Morandi/100000837836996 Daniel Morandi

    About the originals:
Is Esther (Green haired girl 4:30) the main character in this game now??? will be awesome if she with her unit and Crow with Blasta make a Rampage Ghost like Kyousuke x Excellen.

About the trailer: The new animation for old attacks is always welcome, seems like they really put an effort in each game we you see something like this. In others words: Take my money right now!!

    • Tom_Phoenix

Crow is still the main character, but Esther will briefly fulfill that role early in the game. And yes, I’m also wondering if we will see some sort of combination attack involving those two.

As for the animations; considering nearly the entire cast was taken from the first game, it would be preety disappointing if they didn’t touch up on some of the older animations. I’m just wondering if they made any modifications to the gameplay mechanics as well.

      • LynxAmali

“I’m also wondering if we will see some sort of combination attack involving those two.”

Wait for it. Esther’s units gets blown up mid-way only for Crowe to rescue her. But wait, Tria (sp?) being mad as she is, modifies Crowe’s Brasta and Esther’s leftovers. BANG! Hybrid Real/Super Robot! But wait, Tria also tags along thus allowing three pilot Seishin bank.

  • ShadowWolf

i’d consider importing one of these if Coop in the Megas was in it as a playable character.

    • dahuuuundge

Then Megas would beat every other mecha with its massive plot armor.

      • ShadowWolf

like pretty much every other mecha anime?

theres no difference except that Coop takes advantage of it and is played for laughs, while the other mecha pilots take it seriously.

  • http://twitter.com/clazaa Clara

I  haven’t played a SRW game since 3rd Alpha. I absolutely can’t wait to pick this up. It’s one of those games where I’m just so hooked with the gameplay that even playing the game without knowing what the hell is going on with the story is still amazing.

  • Crimson_Cloud

Wow, Setsuna in half-dead Exia? Didn’t think they would make that unit just for the few missions. That’s pretty cool.

Glad to see that Esther is playable.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Morandi/100000837836996 Daniel Morandi

She is like a cool tomboy-girl. I love that kind ^^

      • Crimson_Cloud

        Haha, indeed. ^^
