Blur Studio is a visual effects, animation and design studio that works on films, videogame cinematics, commercials and so on. Among some of their recent videogame projects are Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, for which they produced cinematic trailers, as well as Batman: Arkham City.

Blur also worked on Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. We recently came across storyboards they created for the game’s E3 2011 trailer (above), posted by a senior concept artist at the company. Take a look at them below:

This game….doesn’t look fun :/ RE revelations (or revelaitons as it says on my box)  on the other hand, is an amazing game :P And the circle pad pro is excellent. A bit ugly, but it’s probably more comfortable than the 360 controller (which is one of my favorite controllers) and it works well. My biggest concern was reaching the ABXY buttons but they are very easy to get to.

I always love seeing storyboards! It’s fascinating how it all started, and then when you see the scene in it’s complete form, it’s really something special. Thanks for the article, great read! (ヘ。ヘ)

I have to say, I’ve changed my overall opinion of Raccoon City over the course of the last month or two.

At first, I really had this wait and see approach, but I’ll tell you something: I’ve been doing a lot of waiting, and a lot of seeing, and I’m definitely seeing potential. (^v^)

I realize it’s not exactly the Resident Evil game I’ve wanted, or rather, expecting, but I’m definitely interested in Raccoon City at this point. I’d like to see a Resident Evil game with a direction similar to Revelation’s, but until then, Raccoon City has shown me promise, and that’s what I look for in a game, honestly. (◕‿◕✿)

You know, I’ve never really thought about how CG movies are made before, but the storyboards above look really cool! I was thinking of how they might have been comic panels if they had speech bubbles and a clear layout.
