Darksiders 2 To Feature RPG-Style Randomized Loot Drops

Recommended Videos

A lot of people described the original Darksiders as Zelda-meets-God of War, but Darksiders 2 is adding something from role-playing games, too: loot. Like a lot of loot RPGs, Darksiders 2 will feature randomized loot drops, according to a spotlight video on Xbox Live (above).

Additionally, Death, the horseman you play as in Darksiders 2, can rack up experience. This can be invested in skills that are divided into two categories: Harvenger skills boost his melee abilities, and Necromancer skills focus on summoning the undead.

As previously reported, Death’s primary weapon is a scythe that can be used either as a single long weapon or as two shorter weapons. In addition to this are other sub-weapons such as claws, hammers, guns, axes and iron fists.

Darksiders 2 is slated for release this summer on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and on the Wii U at a later point.
