New Legendary Pokémon, Keldeo, Officially Revealed

The Pokémon Company have officially revealed an entirely new Pokémon, Keldeo, compatible with Pokémon Black/White. Keldeo is currently the final monster in the entire Pokédex, and is a “Colt Pokémon”.

Keldeo’s element type is Water/Fighting. It will make its first appearance in the upcoming movie, Kyurem VS The Sacred Swordsman – Keldeo.

Meanwhile, Serebii.net reports that the March 15th issue of CoroCoro magazine will shed more light on Keldeo, including, perhaps, details of how it will be distributed.

I don’t think legendary means what you think it does.
To use a real world example: If the Roman Pantheon consisted of just the Olympians, IF even all of them, it wouldn’t be nearly as interesting or as epic as it is at all. Likewise, the more Pokemon myths and legends, the better. It expands the world, the mythology, and you have to keep in mind, each set belongs to each new country. It works.
To use a more video game relevant one: It means more side quests and free DLC.
There’s no cons either way you look at it, yet this insane mindset has continued to persist since Ruby and Sapphire, and it honestly baffles me.

Yup I have more respect towards the other Legendaries than this thing you call a Pokemon. I don’t usually go with the collect them all route anymore but I know for sure this guy isn’t going to be in any of my B&W cartridges.

Simulators are things you download for computers. They’ve had all the Pokemon able to use and battle online practically since the games released in Japan, though I stopped using them ages ago myself.

The greatest surprise… that everybody already knew about, lol. Nintendo might as well reveal these special legendary Pokemon (like Meleotta and Genesect) along with the rest of the corresponding generation, since people will find out about them anyway.
But I do like the official art. It’s a different pose than the Musketeer Trio, so I appreciate the “newness” of it.

And it IS a new reveal. Keldeo hasn’t been officially confirmed or revealed before now. People go digging around in the code of a game, yank it all to pieces, drag something out from the depths and parade it round the Internet, and then complain that it’s not ‘new news’ when it’s officially announced. Where did all the patience go?
If nothing else it’s an exciting piece of news for us, whether we knew Keldeo existed or not, because it means a distribution is imminent, and we all love those :D
Wonder whether it’ll have anything groovy as a hook for the next game? I remember Shaymin’s distribution was used as a big publicity push for Platinum, could be an exciting year if the pattern holds :)

I’m sorry, Moltres is like a freaking Phoenix, known in myths legends. It’s a flaming bird. Of course it looks legendary.
I’m not arguing against Keldeo looking legendary, but Moltres DEFINITELY did, almost objectively and regardless of its status. It’s a FLAMING BIRD. They’ve been the definition of legend for some cultures.

Fair enough. I’ve always just thought it looked a bit funny, especially when we get another Phoenix right after in Ho-Oh, but you’re right. It’s a Phoenix, and I have to give it its deserved props for that. For being one of the few Fire/Flying Pokemon as well really.

So he finally gets OFFICIALLY revealed. Took them long enough, as I am one of the many who knew about Keldeo’s existence a while back along with Meloetta and Genesect but now that means if can officially and legibly get him. Now for Meloetta and Genesect… and when are we going to get them in the US version?
I’m looking forward to getting them through events and I’m excited to see what Kyurem’s alter form looks like.

Not gonna lie, I put a great amount of time into black and I have a white copy but…it really died off that map for a lot of people after the global link turned out to be far less of a thing than most people expected. I don’t think reveals that most of us knew about is really going to change that too much.

Really? I actually believe you can level up real faster in this game with the high leveled up wild battles on the special patchs where you can have double wild battles. Before I knew it my Feraligatr was lv 85 after exploring everything that was left in the game.
But I agree with you regarding the Vs Seeker, only thing I disliked about HGSS is that you had to rely on random phone calls to rematch trainers and there is no stronger wild Pokemon either. My Pokemon stayed as lv 60-65, I could barely beat Red with such disadvantage D:

Yeah, I agree with @facebook-643669155:disqus, I found it much easier to level up in Black Version than in most any other version. The Nimbasa Stadiums were an invaluable tool for my leveling up, and the Elite Four is always there for a rematch.
I feel like the VS. Seeker will make a return next generation, though, since it does seem to be a very missed feature from past games.

Well yeah, there’s the Nimbasa stadiums, but there’s usually only a couple of the trainers there each day that don’t have a roaring advantage over the Pokemon I’m trying to level up.
And they aren’t strong enough to face the E4′s stronger teams yet.
I will agree that it was easier to level up until when I was preparing for the first run through of the E4, of course this could just be my easily bored part of my mind talking.

Yeah, if you haven’t already beaten the Elite Four and Alder, then the Stadium trainers are kind of weak. But they are good for grinding with the Lucky Egg, with persistence. And after beating the main game, many more trainers appear in each stadium each day.
But if you’re just getting up to the end of the game, then yes, it is kind of a pain to level up.

Personally, I had to put it down because of Nintendo’s ridiculous online policies. Sure, I’d played my import Black to hell and done about everything, but playing in English was still… something of an experience.
In the end, though, I couldn’t even play properly anymore when I changed my damn router because of how bad their online is. Lost access to all of the online features, and I’ve got Pokemon that’ve been stuck in the Dream World for months now to boot.

Not quite. This Pokemon was designed before Black hit the stores and by then MLP didn’t had the ridiculous fanbase that it has now.
Plus, how come they are running out of ideas? Pokemon were always based on animals (Pikachu-Mouse, Furret- Ferret, Trecko-Gecko, Bidoof-Beaver, Tepig-Pig), plants (Victrebell, Sunflora, ROSElia, Carnivine, LILIgant), a junction of objects or just objects (Magnemite – Magnets and screws, Steelix – Junction of rocks made of steel, Claydoll – A statue of a deity (?), Bronzong – A bronce gong, Chandellur – Chandelier) or just anything they come to their mind (Electrode, Porygon, Togepi, Gulpin, etc). What’s actually happening is that you, sir, are too nostalgic.

Heh, that’s been my mindset for years. There’s nothing like setting foot in a new country, filled with new mythologies and cultures (the more rustic one of Sinnoh versus the chaotic one of Hoenn, for instance) to fit the new setting, filled with tons of new creatures to catch.
If they want to make games based in old locations, that’d be one thing, but as it stands now, I love the formula they have going for ‘em.

But many MANY series that are considered to be among the best the video game world has to offer create new characters for every game. It’s by not a crime by any stretch of the imagination. It’s completely proper game making, don’t make it out to be bad.
