Fire Emblem: Awakening Will Awaken In Europe This Year

Nintendo of Europe just confirmed that Fire Emblem: Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS will be released in Europe this year.

They also confirmed that the game’s downloadable content, announced today to be in the form of additional maps and episodes, will be made available as well.

Nintendo of Europe did not reveal what the game’s English title will be.

o_O Must be a miracle or something because not an hour ago i was complaining on here about how they should localise this…………i must be magic or something >_< Great news btw cannot wait for it.

Lol, I won’t get that game

  • theworldofnoboundries

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.

Now waiting for Reggie to announce this.

Reggie!!! MY BODY IS READY FOR FE HERE!!!

Let’s see if they learned from the Xenoblade debacle.

      • theworldofnoboundries

        And…… they never learned T_T.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jonathan-Ingram/100002032335254 Jonathan Ingram

I wouldn’t say that.  Look at the Last Story.

          • theworldofnoboundries

But but they don’t announce anything about FE T_T

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jonathan-Ingram/100002032335254 Jonathan Ingram

It took time for the last Fire Emblem to come to the US, too =p.  Don’t mope, man.

  • Shinji Kazuya

Yeah! OH YEAH!!! I can barely wait!

  • 27CansOfTuna

Nice, hopefully it has an easy mode, if so then I may consider it if it comes to the US. Best looking Fire Emblem thus far.

    • http://twitter.com/arlrex Jesus A. Roman

I think this one has easy, normal, and hard.

    • IvanAzure

I think it’s like Jesus said plus the Casual Mode which can be chosen no matter which difficulty you choose. By choosing Casual Mode, there won’t be permadeath, making the game much easier IMO. ^^

  • Barrylocke89

Do NOT drop the ball on this NoA.

    • mat kuria

Noting they dropped the ball on the last FE game, don’t hold your breathe. Believe me i’d love to see this but I don’t have hope for Nintendo anymore.

      • Exkaiser

That one didn’t come out in Europe and it also wasn’t either a completely new game or coming out on a fresh system.

      • Barrylocke89

What Ex said. This one has a better chance because of it being on a new system. I just hope Nintendo takes that chance.

  • http://twitter.com/FaithlessMr Bruno Silva

Nintendo of Europe, my heart goes with you.

  • Haou_Yamata

Please let me love you again NoA, bring this over.

  • http://twitter.com/#!/GuiltyRaioh ShinkaRaioh

NoE you deserve my love <3

  • http://twitter.com/arlrex Jesus A. Roman

Playing the one I got from the ambassador program so definitely looking forward to this one.

  • http://twitter.com/Dudechileno Keycross

One more reason to get a 3DS in Europe. Let´s hope it will be for America too!

  • Novac

I wonder how many armies we will have to gather to see this localized in the U.S.

  • SirRichard

Now the 3DS is getting itself together properly, I might finally feel justified in owning one!

  • http://twitter.com/Zhemos Jason A

Where the hell is the NoA announcement?

    • kupomogli

       NoA doesn’t like RPG fans.

      • pockystix

correction; they don’t like to translate the RPGs themselves. . . they just get NoE to do it for them.

  • http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/members/55321.html FinalArcadia

Well, I’m glad for my European friends…

But seriously NoA… DON’T SCREW THIS UP. It’d be one thing if the 3DS was region-free, but as that is unfortunately not the case, I really hope NoA doesn’t screw over American fans yet again.

  • Landius

So I assume this means Nintendo of America/Europe have completely abandoned localizing New Mystery of the Emblem?

    • pockystix

sadly; it’s been far too long, and while it’s a great game, they won’t go back to save it from the Japan-only status. . .

Kinda reminds me of when the Summon Night: Swordcraft Story series went under, due to the lifespan of the GBA going before the series’ end. . .

      • LynxAmali

Wasn’t Swordcraft only 2 games though?

That being said, time for the waiting game.

        • http://twitter.com/Zufield Zufield

Three. There was a side story game that was (naturally) Japan Onry.

    • http://twitter.com/ifarah12 Gren

Probably not, at least it’s getting a translation patch.

  • SetzerGabbiani

As I’ve been saying with the Rainfall games, NoA is letting NoE localize and then NoA (or in TLS’s case, Xseed) just alters the European version for North America.   Since NoE has to translate from Japanese in to Spanish, English, and French (and other EU languages) anyway, it makes financial sense to let them do it seeing how niche the JRPG scene is in the N.A. at this time. There are a few titles that overcome the ‘niche’ category, but those are legacy titles that have strong branding from better times…

  • ShadowWolf

now we Americans and Canadians play the waiting game

  • pockystix

While I love that NoA are finally giving us the Last Story (thank you Xseed), they NEED to get this over here. . . I mean; the amount of WANT I have right now is killing me.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Morandi/100000837836996 Daniel Morandi

Let me confirm this, I cannot play this game (EU version) in my 3DS because  of the region lock right?

    Sorry for my ignorance.

    • Locklear93

If your 3DS is not EU, it cannot play an EU version game; that is correct.  Yay region locks.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Morandi/100000837836996 Daniel Morandi

         REGGIEEEEEEEE! WHY!!!

I was thinking on import some games and I knew it that I couldnt play japanese ones but never thought that the same applies on EU games too.

    • Darkrise

You might want to check youtube for that.

  • http://twitter.com/Lvhina Nathan Alan

somehow i feel like NA 3ds is useless

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_J24UY7QAEKQY576PHZYS3EN6BA Celine

EUROPE IS ON THE A ROLL HERE. T___T Dammit NA, I want to start buying EU consoles instead at this rate.
