Xenoblade Chronicles Locked For April 6th In North America

Xenoblade Chronicles has an official release date in North America. Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime, announced today that the game will be released on April 6th.

With Xseed publishing The Last Story in partnership with Nintendo, that makes two of the three “Operation Rainfall” games being confirmed for North America. Will Pandora’s Tower make it over as well?

I thought it was already announced that it was coming out on April 6.

The release date has been switching around ever since the announcement in December.  First it was April 2 or 3, then it was just April, then there was a rumor but no confirmation for April 6, so then people just continued to say “April 2012.”

My Gamestop only has 4 preorders for Xenoblade Chronicles…two of which are mine and one other is my friend’s.

In response to the question of Pandora’s Tower making it over:  it always had the lowest chance of making it over, imo.  But now that we know Nintendo even considered getting a third party publisher to release one of their games, that increases PT’s chances I think.

Well then, I’ll (hopefully) be selling my European copy this month and picking this up in April. A good excuse to replay the game (though not being able to use my PAL save in New Game Plus would be disappointing).

Sweet. I must have snoozed on the news because I had no idea Xseed was publishing The Last Story; that’s pretty neat. I’m actually gonna look into The Last Story now that I know it’s coming to NA.

Edit: Whoops, I just stumbled across the news about Xseed publishing The Last Story lol. I kinda jumped the gun o.o

They should add Earth Seeker for one the operation rainfall too hiks. Well at least i have pre-ordered Xenoblade Chronicles and now going to pre-order TLS.

    • MrRobbyM

I highly doubt that will happen but I support this idea. I want to play Earth Seeker so bad, even more so than Pandora’s Tower. Too bad Earth Seeker didn’t get as much attention as the other three games did. It seems like a fantastic game.

I’m sorry for asking if this has been covered before, but will it be available in Canada as well, or does “North America” really just mean US? I’m guessing they’ve already translated it into French for the European markets, so the bilingual thing shouldn’t be an issue.

    • Kanamion

Canada is included. I preordered it last month at EB Games.

  • pockystix

I’m actually gonna be able to play games on my Wii again. . . I could almost cry~

You know, for the situation going from “None of these games will ever come” a few months back to 2 out of 3, I gotta say I’m pleasantly surprised.  Now it’s up to us to support with our wallets!  And I definitely think it’s time to introduce my dad to JRPG awesomeness, since he’s addicted to Skyward Sword.  :D
