Aniplex streamed Type-Moon’s Fate/Zero anime worldwide in eight different languages simultaneously with its Japanese schedule, and they’ll be giving the same treatment to the first of its two Blu-Ray boxes. The catch is that the Blu-Ray box will cost $499 in North America.

Anime News Network detail the contents of the Blu-Ray box. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Original editions of the first 13 episodes with extra footage and JPN/ENG subtitles.
  • A collection of trailers and commercials, credit-less OP/ED sequencess.
  • Fate/Zero Original Soundtracks Vol.1 CD by Yuki Kajiura.
  • An original drama CD by Fate/Zero author, Gen Urobuchi.
  • Fate/Zero Animation Material book with interviews and production material.
  • English-translated booklet for the Material Book.
  • Packaged in a box illustrated by Type-Moon co-founder, Takashi Takeuchi.

The Fate/Zero Blu-Ray box is scheduled for release on March 7th. In Japan, it will cost 39,900 yen (about $496). In North America, Right Stuf have it for pre-order for $370 for U.S. residents and $380 for non-U.S. residents.

  • “Original editions of the first 13 episodes with extra footage”. I hope it’s the fight between Saber and Berserker. So tempted to get this, but my wallet…

  • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

There’s no way this package with all those “extras” is worth 500 USD. People are insane for pricing it that high and retarded for paying that price thus encouraging companies to keep this up~.
