Level 5 CEO, Akihiro Hino, teased over the weekend that we’d learn of a new Inazuma Eleven game in CoroCoro magazine, and now we know what it is. Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone is slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS, and yes, it will involve time-travel.

Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone will star Tenma Matsukaze as the lead character once more. New characters include Fey Rune and Alpha (right), both from the future. Alpha is the captain of a team called “Protocol Omega”.

One of the new features in Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone will be called “Mixy-Max,” and will allow you to transfer abilities from one team member to another.

Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone on 3DS doesn’t have a release date yet, but the manga and anime versions do. The manga will be debut on April 14th and the new anime series will kick off on April 18th. The game version will still be an RPG, like prior Inazuma Eleven titles.
