A Closer Look At The Garuda Primal Battle In Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix have released two more videos showing the Garuda battle in the upcoming patch 1.22 for Final Fantasy XIV. The first clip gives a glimpse of the battle itself, and you can watch it below:

 

 

The second clip shows off Garuda weapon rewards:

 

 

Patch 1.22 is currently planned for release on April 26th. Square Enix recently introduced two campaigns to reward loyal Final Fantasy XIV players, which you can read about here.

    Garuda’s music reminds me so much of crisis core battle music…which is awesome! i figured she’d do alot of pushing around with wind, but i wonder if she can do something else that there not showing…. only time will tell i suppose. 

    Intrestingly enough i saw that when Garuda did her windblasty thing. a dragoon hiding behind the rock did not get hit. (it was around when the PLD died lol)

    I lol’d because the music didn’t match the gameplay at all.

    Will FFXIV’s gameplay ever look good?

    Question! I know FFXI pc version gives a free 30 day trial. I don’t know if XIV does or not but anyway. Do the PS2/PS3 versions also give out the free trial?

    (Garuda looks so… Whoa!)
