Last year, Metroid fansite,, released an entire album of Metroid music, titled “Harmony of a Hunter,” comprising of various remixes and re-imaginings of the series’ music across the different different games. The project was a celebration of Metroid’s 25th anniversary in Japan. You can listen to a preview here and download the soundtrack for free here.

Recently, Shinesparkers announced that they’re updating the album with more music sometime in the near future. Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run will contain a few new tracks that weren’t in the original release. Here’s a preview of some of these songs:

  • This is really weird for news

    • Technically, this is correct in saying this, considering most of us that cared knew about it a week plus ago when other people were covering it. :P

  • Love the Sanctuary Fortress arrange. It’s one of my most favorite Metroid tracks. ^^

  • Huh, wasn’t even aware this fan album existed. Thanks for the article and spreading awareness of it! :D

    • Same – checking it out immediately.

  • Wow thanks for sharing! It truly sounds amazing!

Nice its looking and sounding good. I miss metroid wish a new game would come out for it.

I really like the sound of that Sanctuary fortress remix track.  There’s a ton of potential for remix in that loop and the musician doesn’t seem afraid of going crazy with it.

I was as huge fan of the first installment from these guys (I actually got my hands on one of the rare/coveted physical copies) so I can’t wait for the rest of this.
