Square Enix released a new trailer for Hitman Absolution this morning. It starts out with some old footage, but goes on to give a peek of new areas that haven’t been shown before, too. Take a look at it below:

Hitman Absolution will be released sometime this year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Take a look at the game’s premium edition here.

    You decide.
Reloading when the enemies find you or saying darn it 5 times restarting is enough im gonna kill you death!

  • This will be my first Hitman game. It looks great especially when he’s walking on street part.

My first Hitman game was Blood Money and boy did I love that game. It truly mastered that feeling of going undercover to kill the target. Loads of funny moments and fun ways to kill. While this looks fun and I’ll definitely be buying it, it seems to have lost nearly all of the fun and charm. I think Hitman has fallen to the I-take-myself-too-seriously syndrome like most franchises have this gen. In Blood Money, there was  whole level dedicated to killing targets in chicken costumes. Yup. You could also kill a target by shooting the bottom of a glass-floored pool and watching them fall to their death. I’m hoping the game contains some of those fun moments but by the looks of the trailers so far, it just seems to have nothing. Though I will admit pushing the cop over the stair rails and down that hole was kind of funny. Maybe I’m over analyzing it and need to give it some time to show it’s colors, but I wouldn’t be surprised given the tendencies of this gen’s games.

Not to be a debbie downer. This game looks fun and I’m sure it will be amazing.

The level with the costumes was hard as hell in professional, mostly because of It’s length, but you did good starting with Blood Money I have played since the first and it’s my favorite and I also consider it the best one yet.

      • MrRobbyM

Blood Money is among my favorite games ever :)

        • Cloud_ST

You have good taste then,I have it in my top 10 as well.

          • You guys are talking about that mardi gras looking level where you had to take out the terrorist cell dressed up as crows right?

          • Cloud_ST

             Yup,that’s the one

Eidos is really keeping SE afloats. :P
    It’s really ironic.

The thing I’m worried about remains the story. What made 47 take Diana out? Have been playing the series since Silent Assassin. Since a lot of the main players have left IO, I feel as though they’re taking it in a direction where it may potentially ruin it for the series veterans.

It’s not all bad, but no Jesper Kyd and Bateson is just really low.

    • Cloud_ST

Well he never had any love for Diana, perhaps some sense of respect but he always mantained a “Just Business” attitude with her even through she saved him quite a few times, best example of this is starting the “heaven and hell” mission in Blood Money when she tells him the agency is over with desperation in her voice and 47 gives her the dryest “good luck” I’ve ever heard.

  • Cloud_ST

Cautiously optimistic about this,Blood Money was brilliant.

  • Solomon_Kano

I never had any particular interest in this series before (though I do recall a guy telling me an awesome story about one of the games in middle school), but I’ve been excited for this since its announcement. It just looks so good!

Hope this game can live up to the Hitman franchise. Especially in terms of executions if you know what I mean

  • Smashlampjaw

Looks cool, need to scratch that stealth itch, haven’t played a stealth game since the last Splinter Cell…

  • looks like stealth mode assassins creed

  • isfuturebright

I played a bit of blood money back then

  • Yeah!
