These environments really made me remember File Island, would have been awesome if you could actually visit it again. xD

    • Hinataharem

That would be the greatest cameo ever.

Beat the game, get to visit File Island with super hard Mons and the a secret boss battle with the DW1 protag.

  • Shame this will never see the light of day in the states… Maybe Europe will get a translation we can import.

  • Anime10121

This looks GORGEOUS!  Only wish it would come to NA, but alas I know it not to be so :(

  • Well, of course they’d have devimon. What kind of digimon game would it be without devimon!?

    • devimon in digimon world re:digitize….
my response: “you don’t say?” LOL

  • scratchbach

I want this so badly. So, so badly. If this were to actually come overseas, I’d love them forever.

  • Daaay oneeee

  • icecoffemix

Love the imaginative level design! Beats any “realistic” dull grey world.

  • usagi_san

Why does the in-game shots of Gravel Wasteland remind so much the desert you had to travel through on NUNS2?

  • I want Lilithmon

just for the hell of it

    get it?

  • Spirit Macardi

This is a game that really should come out here, even if it’s just as a downloadable game without English voice acting. If Poke’Mon and Shin Megami Tensei can have an audience over here, then why not Digimon as well? Hell, by what I understand Saban is back in action with the new Power Rangers series, so if they were to start dubbing Digimon again I think the series could find new life in the west.

    • hmmm but as far as i know… the digi-fans in NA aren’t that much, but it has a lot of lovers in latin america it seems

  • I was a made to never be released in America

  • Hinataharem

Fluorescent Caves looks amazing! I could like, sleep in there or something.

  • Göran Isacson

Real cool environments there… even if I fear that they could just turn into corridors with little in the way of actual environmental interaction and design. Just put up a bunch of signposts in that forest here and there, dot them out with no real plan, and call it a day- that kind of design.

  • Kitestwinblades

They always do a good job of fusing technology with any form of nature XD
Although most of the time it looks like unearthed, post apocalyptic stuff but arranged in the silliest manner. Like I think there was a combination of The “Railroad Plains” and “Gravel wasteland” in season one of the show. I’m glad they don’t hold back with the designs :3

  • HolyAngemon!?  #YES!  I hope he’s as broken as in his Digimon Adventure rendition!

Yes, I’m referring to his Heaven’s Gate/Gate of Destiny attack, where even Mega-level Digimon got caught in it.

    •  Game wise, it could be more or less similar to Hamaon spell; Chances of banishing/dismissing your opponent in a battle. (Spell not effective against bosses, of course.)

    • holy gate it is

    • They defin. will nerf it down to 50-50 chances of working.

      • I hope they’d do something like: “100% activation, if #HolyAngemon is the only active Digimon partymember”, or use their data sizes as differences, similar to the original card game in Japan.

  • Strain42

I have something very important to say about the localization of this title!!!

    …it would be pretty awesome.

    That is all.

  • Devimon? Why not throw in his anime Domain, the Infinity/Mugen mountain as well for more 01 homage’s sake. IIRC, it was also in the first Digimon World game as well.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THOSE CONCEPT DESIGNS *_*

Those are wonderful! This is probably the first time I’ve felt this nostalgic about the setting of the digiworld since the very first season of Digimon (waaaay back when, gosh I feel old).

I love how there’s the traditional forest, cave, plains, etc but they all have these little quirks that makes it feel like someone accidentally spilled a bunch of enlarged items on them XD I was reminded of Alice in Wonderland once or twice when I used to watch Digimon, and I get that quirky otherworld feel from these sketches too <3

  • Solomon_Kano

I want it more and more each daaaaay.

  • What kind of miracle would it take to get this localized…

    • i’m afraid if it’s released in NA, they’ll ruin the systems and changing with a crap name. Better it gets an english patch but still keep the original japanese terms

  • Guest

Oh, god. I really want this game. Call me insane, but this could potentially be THE Digimon game of ALL Digimon games. It just looks so good. X3

  • AceWildCard

Good old memories playing digimon world for ps1 for hours as a kid was such an adventure~ man if they could at least give us a digital release… Damn you psp for being plagued in the west! D:<

  • I think this new pictures are the most beautiful that i saw of the game!

  • sherimae1324

    FANTASTICO!!!! MAGNIFICO!!!! ^_^

  • no valdur arm??? okay *okay face*

  • Do want. (Even though I most propably would miss the control a few times and die a few time be4 getting used to the system…..)

    Time to rewatch Digimon Adventure/Tamer.

  • Please let it have the V-digivolutions *including* the armor ones, and specially Magnamon! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease
Also, this areas kinda remind me of the little I watched the horrible Digimon Frontier ):

  • my gosh.. this is beautiful!

they redid that first area the digidestened landed in Adv 1, and it’s gorgeous!

oh go golly, please bring this game here!
