By Ishaan . May 7, 2012 . 9:30am

PlatinumGames have released another Anarchy Reigns trailer, this one showing off a glimpse of 5 of the game’s 11 multiplayer modes. Team Deathmatch and Team Battle are 4 vs. 4, Tag Deathmatch is 2 vs. 2, Tag Battle is 2 vs. 2 vs. 2 vs. 2, and Survival is three characters. Take a look at the trailer below:

What isn’t shown here is Anarchy Reigns’ 16-player Battle Royale mode. Other modes that we haven’t seen include 1-on-1 Cage Match mode and a mode called Death Ball, which is some kind of ball sports game.

    DAY 1 for me
gotta support the best action studio out there
    *insert serious face.jpg*

  • I’m so worried about this game. The concept is too good to be true and can only work if they make the netcode absolutely perfect. Not to mention balance it out. Its a day one buy but I hope they really get everything down.

    • andref

Well I highly doubt the netcode for this game will be that bad come now this isn’t super smash bros brawl
on another note maybe it would be a good idea to release a demo to try the game out

    •  As much as I want to worry about netcode, I’m more worried about the sales. Patches won’t do wonders without a ton of feedback. This game will be severely overlooked without a lot of advertisements.

I feel really sorry for the devs in regards to this game. I just can’t picture it achieving even minor success. It’s a really tough sell.

All we can do is our part by purchasing it.
What could help is us spreading the word about this game by word of mouth.
(Since the gag of “Sega can’t promote their games” holds some weight to it.)
But yeah , I was feeling that same way a few weeks ago.

we could just spam youtube comment with Anarchy Reigns for PS3 Xbox
        lol fans unite

Liking this game more and more

  • z_merquise

Track is really good.  Looking forward to hear the soundtrack in this game.

As for the game itself, it really looked like an arcade-style brawler and that’s a good thing for me since I’m a fan of those kind of games. I do admit, this game may not attract huge audiences but huge sales expectations or not, I’m getting this game.

  • The music was awesome I gotta get this game.

Oh thank you platinum games your my new best friend!!

  • Great music, that reminds me Mad World on Wii also had an incredible soundtrack.

As @Garyuu:disqus said, if SEGA don’t advertise the game, it hurts the sales and then complain that, “the game didn’t do well…” For the readers of sites such as this one and others will cause the game to gain exposure. The only advertisement I’ve seen from SEGA in recent years was for Sonic Generations – surprise, surprise – games such as Valkyria Chronicles and Binary Domain got nothing.

This raises the importance of dedicated physical game stores to help promote many of these games which deserve recognition. We know the CoD’s, Mario’s and EA sports games will sale; just help support these other titles.

Too bad there’s no splitscreen.  I would have bought it brand spank’n new if there were couch co-op.

I much pre-fer that option to online, personally.

    • Linhua

      … REALLY…??

      … there’s no couch co-op…??

… uh oh… that hadn’t crossed my mind… this is trouble for me.

  • Bunzi

Nothing against all the rock in gaming nowadays, but it’s good to see good hip hop soundtracks from time to time.

“What isn’t shown here is Anarchy Reigns’ 16-player Battle Royale mode. Other modes that we haven’t seen include 1-on-1 Cage Match mode”

Wait, huh? Yes, we have. This video was released nearly a month ago and includes Battle Royale and Cage Match. I could’ve sworn Siliconera even did an article on it.

  • The more i see of the game the more i wanna get it

  • Linhua

… my GOD I’m gonna love this game’s soundtrack.

… anyone know the artist behind these tracks…?

… I’m getting the MADWORLD soundtrack artist Vibe.
