Nintendo of Europe have released a bit more footage of Project Zero 2: Wii Edition on the game’s official website, and YouTube user, Nintendaan, has compiled them soundless clips into a video with the background music from the site. Take a look at it below:

Project Zero 2: Wii Edition will be released on June 29th in Europe.

Apparent lack of dynamic character shadows makes me sad. I mean, we have had them since Silent Hill 2, and I think they would add to the atmosphere of a horror game.

The original Fatal Frame 2 had them also, so it’s a real shame.

It’s because this is running of the Fatal Frame 4 engine though. No shadow casting there either. The graphics are still superb for a Wii game though. Those character models are tremendously high end by Wii standards.

Maybe dynamic shadows are easier to calculate with a fixed camera system. Not so much with a moving camera. Sure, Splinter Cell did it (and Doom 3 did get ported on the original Xbox too), so one could expect the Wii to be able to render them as well. But I guess you’d need a higher budget for that. Still a shame.

That aside, yeah, the characters look nice. The backgrounds also look better than the PS2 version, although not as much as I would have hoped.

Now I just hope they ironed out all the problems with PZ4, since this game seems to be using the same gameplay system. Sigh.

Well here i can only hoped that this game will sell well in U.S and E.U. so that it will makes those in Nintendo to consider coming out with FF 5 in Wii U and of course bringing the game here.

Pre-ordered the japanese version long ago. Oooh, the wait is killing me…
Though, waiting for some games on 3DS killed me much more. Still alive, btw.

I would buy this again just because I love the twins. Who doesn’t?

Once I get this game I guess that’s it for the Wii and me. I already got Pandora’s Tower, The Last Story, Xenoblade.   After Fatal Frame II is just  Dragon Quest X but I don’t think that’ll come to the Wii U.S./EU ; most likely Wii U and I’m not that excited about MMO’s anyway especially if it might be pay to play..
