when will psx games be available that’s what I want to know.

Already transferred this off of my PS3 a while ago, but still great news for people who haven’t had the chance to try it. Such a cool game (especially the music)!

    is it free?

So its officially supported now huh? They pulled it a while back and it was only kind of working for some Euro users. That said there is a much larger list of titles that work then Sony has said. Check out Neogaf’s official Vita thread pt 3 for the full list as a summary all PCEngine titles work (I would know) as do other favorites like Valkyria Chronicles II. On a side note I recently re bought Crimson Gem Saga to play on my Vita (since I own a disc copy on PSP) and its amazing. The colors are way more vibrant the load times even shorter and the larger screen really makes it easier for me to get drawn in to the world.

      Ah, Crimson Gem Saga…

Honestly I can’t express how amazing it looks on Vita with the bi linear filtering and bigger screen. Its like night and day, color wise and the fact that PSP titles cover the Vita screen inch for inch is great.

    Hooray, GEB!

God Eater Burst and Puzzle Quest? Cool. Now if only we could get Crisis Core and the first FF…

    • Jake Deerberg

Well if you have a PS3 you can still get those on your Vita.

      • Solomon_Kano

        Oh? How?

        • thebanditking

Download them from the PS store using your PS3 then connect your Vita to your PS3 and go into the content manager app. Once there go to PS3 to Vita transfer option at the top of of the screen (on Vita) and after that select content downloaded on PS3 then PSP items and the games should be right there. I may not have the exact wording for this but it pretty self explanatory once you see it.

          • Solomon_Kano

That should work for FF, but Crisis Core isn’t on there at all.

Strange! I already have Gods Eater Burst on my Vita…unless it’s like a Vita-store-specific listing?

    • Kris

Yep! There are still a lot of games you can download onto your PS3 and transfer over to Vita, but can’t buy from the Vita store directly. Sony’s weird like that!

Basically, most games not listed on the Vita store -can- be played on a PS Vita -if- you download them through a PS3. The reason is that the Vita has a different format for PSP games than the actual PSP. Therefore, people without a PS3 can’t access those games not listed on the Vita store as the Media Go app still downloads things with PSP format and there are no options to change it into PS Vita format~.

I wasn’t too big of a fan with what they did to the music in Chronicles, though at least they give horribly picky people like myself  other sound options.  The localization is top-notch, though, and at the end of the day, I adore the stories/worlds in the first 2 Ys games.

Cho Aniki Zero, Valhalla Knights 2 Battle Stance, and Strikers 1945 were previously playable on Vita if you loaded them onto the Vita via a PS3.  Still good to see they are more accessible now though.

Ys I&II, on the other hand, was not playable on Vita at all before.  So that’s VERY good news.

Not many of my dozens of PSN games remain unplayable on Vita, Hakuoki is one though.

Ys I & II Chronicles was transferable for SOME people… but it seems like only the early adopters who downloaded the game back within the first week or so of its release were lucky in that regard.

Now, though, it’s fair game for everyone! Yaaay! ;)

hmmmm why is it taking sony so long to get all the games on the psn store? some kind of cheap marketing scheme? thought they would have been done by now

    Booooooo! Bring the PS1 Classics!

I hope they will price this right. 10$ like most of the other PSP games would be nice.
