Anarchy Reigns! This is real, right?! Man, it’s really awesome! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

I love how the characters are so diverse, and I especially love how Bayonetta has her moves from the game, I was a bit uncertain as to how well she would blend in to the game, but she fits right in with all the chaos!

Douglas is awesome! Despite being so huge, he’s surprisingly agile! He’s almost like a pro wrestler! I like how he swings people around and slams them around like rag dolls. (*^ワ^*)

I like Max, too! He has such a cool stance, and such an awesome combat style! I like the little red electricity he emits, it’s epic. I loved the part at 3:20, when he was relentlessly attacking Douglas, and he did this little power up force field at the end. That was great. (>y<)

I wish we saw more of Rin Rin, she looks real interesting, but I only saw a few glimpses of her. Though, I did feel bad when she was on the ground and being pounded by Douglas, she looked dead!

Ah, man! What’s that fiery aura they have near the end? It looks like it kicks them into overdrive! Haha! It’s freaking awesome! You see how fast they were attacking?! That was great! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

    Man, this is awesome! (◕‿◕✿)

Where is Sam Gideon from Vanquish

      • Testsubject909

Making sweet loving in a spaceship with his navigator as said spaceship is set on autopilot on his way to the ongoing battle royale.

At least that’s what I enjoy imagining.

edit: PS. I’d really want to see a Gene vs Sam…

      • Linhua

… = =;; … I know i’m late as HELL but I………………….. JUST played the Vanquish Demo that’s been sitting on my PS3 for decades… now the game’s like 15 – 20 dollars and I think i’m gonna trade in something to get it but from what i’ve played in that demo… I now see why you people continually ask for Sam.

… he was so gangster with them missiles that I… I just… I just felt I- XD

… i’m gonna go get that game tomorrow now.

… but is it possible for his appearance…?

… I mean like with Bayonetta… I haven’t paid any attention as to who worked on Sam’s game.

    • Testsubject909

I’m ready to beat all of you when it comes out. Muahaha!

And obviously, I’ll only play as the shmexy women in this game… It’s just sort of my thing. Like a friend says. If you’re given the choice, would you rather see the backside of a macho guy for untold hours of gameplay or would you rather watch a fine lady on screen for that period of time?

And yeah, that crazy frantic action is incredibly appealing.

      • Linhua

… hadn’t thought of it that way… makes a lot more sense than my own reasons for being a female player… which i’m not getting into… XD

… but now at least, I have some ammunition for my friends when they decide to bash me for playing with females the majority of game time.

        … thanks, buddy.

        • Testsubject909

          No problem.

    • Linhua

      XD … Adorable.

… I just played the demo and… well I just played the demo.

… … … and then I played the demo like three more times.

… apparently, I really liked the demo.

      … and the music… o_o;; … I haven’t found a single track that I DIDN’T like… and even when I was starting up this demo… I liked the Title Music… I liked the Tutorial Music…

… y’know when you’re sitting on a game’s icon on your PS3 interface and the highlighted game shows a temporary background picture with some music…?

… yeah, I like that music too.

… anyway… something crossed my mind and I wanted to share it with you guys… see what you all think.

… I just came from the Youtube page of this video… and there was a guy there who complained about the Rampage mode. That’s the… fiery aura thing Aoi-chan was referring to.

… he said it was just simply too powerful and that it needs to go.

… I’m ashamed to say that after all those replays I put that poor demo through… I found myself more focused on other means of offense rather than jumping at the chance to activate Rampage… so I haven’t quite learned the whens and hows of it’s availability yet… n_n; … oops.

… H-HOWEVER!! .-. When I played the story [Jack's]… and when the situation so desperately called for it… even after all of that fighting… I found myself STILL… unable to use it. Either I lost my opportunity to use it when it was presented to me or there are some requirements I must have missed in order to raise that bar.

… I guess what i’m really trying to say is… There’s no wrong way to eat a Reeses. Though it IS extremely powerful… I don’t see it as something that can be used far too often… I feel that an acceptable dosage of Rampage is introduced into the battle where you have long enough time to rape at least ONE neighbor before it wears off.

… it also looks like something one would need when a group decides to gang up on you.

… in case anyone’s wondering just what it’s capable of…

      1. It boosts your overall speed and power.
      2. It overwhelms an enemy who isn’t in the form.
      3. It allows you to use your Killer Moves without depleting your bar.

… of course, you’ve seen the most of that in the video.

… and when two Rampage fiends confront one another… it comes down to a button-mashing contest… giving the victory to the one who can dish out the most blows… which I think seems fair enough.

… so yes, we did just witness Rampage Mode ripping everyone a new @SS… T^T … even Bayonetta…

… but given the circumstances of it’s uses… do you think it’s too powerful…?

      .-. Did I mention I really liked the demo…?

  • astralfist

Looks pretty awesome-can’t wait for it!

  • Niermyico

Take my forsaken money! Wait, for which system is this? Ah, screw it!

    Take my money, anyways!

  • PK212

And in case anyone forgot, the demo is out on the Japanese PSN store. Go play it! haha.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/JULME2SMOTEWWQGL3TZHNZELUU M R

stop teasing us with this stuff since we aint getting it anytime soon!!!!!!!!

    ahem, sorry about that

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/JULME2SMOTEWWQGL3TZHNZELUU M R

on a side note, I will probably have to just import this. I cannot wait any longer

  • http://twitter.com/salarta salarta

I haven’t preordered it yet, but only because no sites I’ve checked say anything about confirming Bayonetta included. If it’s still not up when we get closer to release then I’ll preorder anyway, but I want to make sure I don’t miss out. I almost missed out on the collector’s edition of Dark Souls because I preordered before that edition was announced, after all.

    • Code

It really can’t hurt to preorder any ways if you plan on getting it >w<; You just wanna keep your ears open in case Bayonetta the location you preordered at specifically doesn't get Bayonetta. But if you ask me, there is no way it's going to be a preorder exclusive character; she'll probably be DLC a few weeks later.

  • Code

rarrr, I can’t wait to give the demo a shot >AwA<;; nyann I wannna plaayyy~

    • StaticDestroyer

Jack, Leo, Mathilda, Baron, Garuda and Sasha in MP and one mission for each side in the single player.
It’s also in Japanese and English if it hasn’t already been mentioned here

      • Code

Thanks owo! That’s a pretty good selection considering, and one mission for each for single is nice to boot >w<; I take it it's only free for all online? Also good to hear it has english text options~

        • Sevyne

4v4 team battle. Just tried it out myself and I’m already loving this game. It’s total chaos!

    • Testsubject909

I was always, and am still, excited for this game. Just not to the point of hyperactivity or anything else of the sort.

Highly anticipating it, just not hyped for it, if that makes sense. But still, can’t wait to play it when it gets here, though oddly am not going to go and get the JP demo… I don’t know if I make sense.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

I was so disappointed that Rin Rin wasn’t in the demo but it was fun as hell.

  • AzureNova

Anarchy Reigns is going to be insane! >_<

    • z_merquise

And that avatar of your is . . . yes, Anarchy Reigns is insane, right!

      • Testsubject909

        You know what I like?

Azure’s comment has the Sonico avatar.

Azure’s like of your reply has the Cowgirl avatar.

  • dahuuuundge

All I need is Gene and Elvis as playable character and all my dreams will come true.

  • ndjn3979

    Gameplay seems pretty repetitive.

    • Guest

You can make that argument for any online game

      • Testsubject909

You could say that of just about any games, really.

Racing, you drive real fast and do loops until you win, retry when you lose.
Fighting, attack, block, dodge, counter until victory, retry when you lose.
Adventure, search everywhere, try every answer until victory, retry when you fail.
RPG, go to next quest area, grind for level, get new loot, repeat, retry when you lose.
Strategy, gather resource, build, attack, repeat, retry when you lose.
Shooters, shoot enemy, reload, move forward, repeat, retry when you lose.

        Etc, etc, etc.

    • raymk

You can make that argument for a lot of games from gameplay vids before the games are played by the community.  Developers aren’t the ones who make the metagame.  Smash and powerstone looked that way at the beginning at first as well and by that I mean they looked boring.

    • Testsubject909

The same could be said of all videogames, but enough talk. Have at you!

      *tosses wine glass*

  • https://twitter.com/#!/JadenPrinceton C.Guzman

I’m playing the demo right now, it’s so good! I tried Campaign with Leo, but a huge Executioner got me in 3 hits.. :|
Still, I think I’m going to end up importing this! Sega is playin’ games..and not the kind of games I like.

  • ShinGundam

Ahh man, I wish all developers stop featuring stuff like mash all buttons randomly or cut-scenes attack.

    • raymk

I kinda agree but these are things that fit the madworld type games.  In fact platinum games are known for these things and it wouldn’t be the same without them.

  • ArcadiaSymphonia

Is listening to touch my body by mariah carey while watching this weird???

    • Testsubject909

Huh? what? oh sorry, I was too busy looking at the girls fighting and wanting to touch their bodies for some reason.

  • Warren Deck

Looks like Spawn or Heavy Metal Geomatrix for Dreamcast.

    • z_merquise

Exactly. I love playing Spawn: In Demon’s Hand in the arcade back then.

  • http://twitter.com/monkeyking2135 monkey king

The demo is sooooo great, and I’m extremely pleased mathilda rocks since I was planning on maining her from the start.
The music is also stupidly good, I had to rip some of it so I could listen to it on the road..
Can’t wait to inject this game into my bloodstream.

  • Domii

I played the demo today. Although it was quite chaotic, I had a blast.

  • CrimsonalCore

Now I know what to preorder this year~

  • Testsubject909

You know, I’m thinking about this here but… I’m reminded of Ace Attorney 2, which in Japan, had a dual language option while the NA version was pretty much a near copy paste of the entire English option of the Japanese Ace Attorney 2.

Not wanting to feel cheated of content, I took the Japanese version for the higher amount of options as the NA version has English only. Sooo… Here’s my question.

Is the NA version (and also every other English version, EU and Australian and etc) going to have dual language options or is that going to only be available on the Japanese version?Because, quite honestly, if it’s only available on the Japanese version… I might just go and just import it and get to play it asap with no penalty for any lack of understanding of the Japanese language.

    • Göran Isacson

A possible reason for this that I’ve heard of (meaning that there is no actual CONFIRMATION of this, it’s just a rumor) is that companies have to pay the VA’s salary all over if they release the game outside Japan and keep the japanese language tracks in the game, due to some ludicriously complex contract law in Japan. Again, no idea if this is true or not, but if it is I can certainly see a SEGA that’s strapped for cash do anything to cut down on costs and remove the Japanese language tracks in the West.

      • Testsubject909

That would confuse me then. Warriors Orochi 3 has some recognizable and well known voice actors in there, or is it just pricier to redub everything as opposed to just paying the original JP VAs?

        • Göran Isacson

WELP, from what I can tell… the companies apparently have to pay licensing costs to use the voice-tracks of the Japanese actors when the game gets released in the West (I did some research and found this statement by some guy working for NISA, so I feel a little safer using this argument now). I don’t know if Warriors Orochi had both tracks or just the JP voices, but the more lines there is in a game the more they have to pay (so a game with a ton of dialogue becomes much more expensive to license, apparently, than an action-game would be).

Granted, this makes it weird that this game should be gimped and WO3 would not be, since I presume that WO has a lot more dialogue than this game since that game has a lot more characters. Then AGAIN AGAIN, it may be the case that since there were so many chars in WO3 (haven’t played it, should be noted) each VA didn’t have a lot to say, whereas there are fewer characters here with more lines. So… in some way, it may just be more expensive for SEGA to translate this than it might be for Koei to translate WO3?

  • capristrider

Played the demo, it was super fun! Changing the language option to English makes the training levels easy to do and understanding “abilities” the multiplayer easy too.

    • https://twitter.com/A_Beast_of_Prey Equinox K

Is there a demo up already, did you change the region setting, are you actually in japan, or is your system hacked?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bobby-Jennings/100000158197173 Bobby Jennings

        Yes there is a demo.

        • https://twitter.com/A_Beast_of_Prey Equinox K

Sorry meant for other regions besides japan. I haven’t been browsing PSN as much since I don’t have the funds right now.

      • capristrider

I downloaded the demo called Max Anarchy demo using my Japanese PSN account. Unfortunately this is the only way to get your hands on it at the moment. Sign in using your JPN PSN account, go to store, search and download. From my experience, I found I was playing with a lot of  players from EU, US, South America, etc (you can hear them talking using their headsets and see their PSN profiles).

        • https://twitter.com/A_Beast_of_Prey Equinox K

I was unaware you could make a JPN PSN account XD . I will have to see in this, I at least would like to play it for little bit because it may be awhile before I’m even able to get the game.

    • Barrit

I’m glad I read your post. I had no idea I could change the languages. I just looked it up :) Thanks!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Steven-Pierre-Louis/667684607 Steven Pierre-Louis

The action looks good, though I was hoping for something more like power stone 2 with the level designs.  Just staying in one little box the whole match isn’t too interesting.

  • http://twitter.com/IncrediBurch Ryan Burch

I hate that Sega is delaying the game.  I hope they are just holding off a Western release date for E3 news.

As long as Sega is delaying it to put together a solid marketing strategy, then I’ll be fine.  I want this game.
