Love Is In The Air In These Tokyo Jungle Screenshots

In addition to their whacky trailer, Sony released a bunch of Tokyo Jungle art and screenshots recently. Screenshots that remind us of the power of love—for even during a post-apocalyptic crisis where its every animal for himself, there’s still time for love to bloom. Check out these romantic cheetahs and horses, for instance:

I want this game so badly.

Also, I always felt uncomfortable when Nala gave Simba those bedroom eyes after she licked his cheek. This is why I still can’t watch the Lion King with family/friends. Dammit, Disney. >:

That’s the reason we need Sony and Japanese games. Some Japanese devs try to cater to the mindless western COD-shooter crowd, discarding their unique Japanese heritage, that’s an unfortunate truth, but there are still the likes of SCEJ Studio, Platinum Games, Level 5, Kojima Pro and From Software to name a few.

I guesstimate TGS is gonna be huge this year. If Japanese studios truly deliver, they deliver big time.

So, for parents who let their young kids watch or play this what’s going to be harder to explain:

Why a Pomeranian can take on a T-Rex, or what those animals are doing to make more animals?

Pomeranians > T-rexes. That’s taught in most schools. One’s extinct, the other rules the natural world.

I don’t know, ever since the Companion Cube, I don’t trust in-game relationships. I wouldn’t want my significant other to be teared up by a hungry lion or vicious predator. I don’t think I could handle it.

Seriously, I’m so intrigued by Tokyo Jungle. The thought about roaming a post-apocalyptic world, Tokyo at that, it’s amazing. Fighting off predators, or running from them(like a chump), it’s exciting. It’s so ridiculously awesome.

I remember reading about this a while ago, so I’m happy to see these recent articles, it looks great! (◕‿◕✿)

But you just said you were a wild, ferocious bear. They’re more in danger of being torn apart by you than a lion.

      • aoihana

Ah, yes, such is true, but my animalistic traits subside when necessary. I can never harm my significant other!

I think it’s more like… I wouldn’t want my significant other to eat me after I’ve fulfilled my purpose of multiplication. :<

You should avoid playing the praying mantis then…

The screenshots are from Chinese version, if my eyes are properly.
