I seriously can’t wait for this game to come out – already pre-ordered it and simply can’t wait for it to arrive on 6th July.

Had to cover the screen when the cutcenes for FF7 (currently playing), FF8 and FF9 appeared.

if you managed to avoid that FF7 spoiler this long I salute you because it is everywhere.

There’s one FF7 spoiler that I already know about and I’m dreading when it does come up. I might already know about that spoiler but I might be wrong.

          fair enough

        • Even knowing what happens, you’ll still get emotional when the time comes. Trust me. I played the game for the very first time in the late 90’s, played it lots of times since, and to this day, no matter how many times I played through the entire game, I still cry on that part. I won’t lie. It’s just such a great game.

So, they decided to leave Japanese footage for event videos.

  • If I have one complaint about this game, (other than the soulless eyes that stare into my very soul) let it be that it seemingly ignores the music from the remakes from the older games, which is a shame since the updated OSTs were great –

    Here’s hoping for Insane difficulty.

    waaaAAAAAAaaave of a neeeew daaaay~

  • Why does the game have Princess Sara as a character? Wasn’t she some one-line NPC from FF III? I wonder if I’m missing something. I didn’t play FF V and VI yet so correct me if I’m wrong here.

    • FF1’s Sarah, not FF3’s.
There is at least one extra character from
each main FF in the game. They are, in order of game, Sarah, Minwu, Cid,
Rydia, Faris, Locke, Aerith, Seifer, Vivi, Yuna, Prishe, Ashe and Snow.
Kain and Sephiroth serve as bonus bonus characters.

Personally, I wish that they had Desch or Alus instead of Cid, but that’s just me.

      •  Thanks for clearing that up. No wonder I didn’t remember Sarah. Final Fantasy I…she probably did say only one sentence in the entire game. Looking at the list of secondary characters: I wish they added Yuffie for FF VII and Laguna from VIII.

Haha. Didn’t like their choice of FF3 side character. Cid from FF3 is one of the more forgettable Cids IMO.

For me, Desch or Aria is a better choice.

  • That last song should’ve looked WAY tougher than it was on screen.
Glad Decisive Battle looks incredibly fun to play though.

  • Oh so they’re keeping the japanese menus from the older titles playing on the event stages? Or was that stock footage used for the trailer? Final Fantasy I and IV were released in english, so they could use some english gameplay menus from back then if so they desire. Not that I have a problem with the way things (seemingly) play out as of now, though :)

  • It made me smile when Suteki Da Ne started playing at 3:34 :)

  • Nikolai Sumcad

    I cannot wait!

  • This is one of many rhythm game I cared about.
This game will make me goosebumps all the time because of the amazing music even though I haven’t play all of FF games.

  • I love how most of the “pairings” were shown at the end of the clip. And then we get to the only female protagonist that is shown and it’s like BATTLE MUSIC.

    lol. Lightning is win.

  • komiko12

    Waah! Theatrhythm!
    I’m so gonna get it!

    *realizes I have no 3DS*
    :(

Wallet… prepare to fatten up like a pig for slaughter.
