Playing Dead Space 3 In Co-Op Shows You Extra Story Details

Electronic Arts officially showed off footage from Dead Space 3 for the first time today at their E3 press conference. The game confirmed drop-in, drop-out co-op with Isaac and a new character, Earthgov Sergeant John Carver.

As Siliconera reported last year, Dead Space 3 begins with Isaac crashing onto the planet of Tau Volantis, which Isaac discovers might hold the key to ending the Necromorph invasion. While you can play Dead Space 3 by yourself, playing cooperatively with a friend will allow you to see experience story details during the game.

Dead Space 3 will be available sometime in February 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We’ll have more information as we get our hands on it.
