Heroes of Ruin Demo Will Let You Try Online Co-Op

This week, Square Enix will publish a Heroes of Ruin demo on the Nintendo eShop in Europe, and as a pleasant surprise, it will have both online and offline co-op for you to try out with other friends who grab it as well.

The full version of Heroes of Ruin will be released in Europe on June 15th. North America will get the game a month later on July 17th. A Diablo-style loot-driven RPG, Heroes of Ruin will allow for four players to play together locally or over the Internet, and will support voice chat as well. Square haven’t announced when the U.S. will see the demo yet.

Square Enix and n-Space say they’ve added over 80,000 weapons to Heroes of Ruin, including higher-ranking Legendary items and items that form complete sets together. These will be harder to find, however, and have a better chance of being found in multiplayer.

I will definitely give this demo a try. Still not completely sold on the game, yet. The number of weapons, for completionist, that love this game, will be hooked on this for a while.

Is that Cloud in the thumbnail screenshot?

I’ll be picking up the demo for sure, it looks amazing and my 3DS library needs bulking up :D

  • I think releasing the demo in the US would have a lot of value/make a lot of sense. Heroes of Ruin is definitely a game I am on the fence about, so I would love to try it out.

Really hope Nintendo ends their 3DS presser tonight with something like “There will be a Heroes of Ruin demo on the e-store tomorrow for North America!”

That would be nice since I’m genuinely curious about the game, but not enough so to go out and buy it without trying it first.

  • While I don’t have much interest in this game, I’ll be sure to give this demo a spin. Thanks N-Gage, SE and Nintendo of Europe :D

  • First I’ve heard of this game, it seems interesting enough :3 .

Finally, S-E decided to bring a demo over here! I still feel neglected on how they didn’t bring the Bravely Default and KH: 3D demo.
