Nintendo Land Developer Discussion Shows Zelda, F-Zero Attractions

By Ishaan . June 6, 2012 . 9:20am

At a developer discussion last night, Nintendo demonstrated Nintendo Land in great detail for members of the press, with producer, Katsuya Eguchi, talking about their vision for the game. At this same discussion, they also showed off a few additional attractions from the game, including the F-Zero attraction we reported. Now, you can watch portions of the discussion below:

Nintendo Land is scheduled for release this holiday at Wii U launch. If you’re looking specifically for the F-Zero demo, skip to the 5:00 mark in the video.

Nintendoland is looking surprisingly good! I rarely play party games, but this looks like one that I’d actually replay fairly frequently.

Also, an F-Zero vehicle with a wind-up key on the back is a hilarious visual XD

  • XypherCode

We can finally make our Miis walk/run anywhere at will! :D The environment in Nintendoland is very impressive.

I can’t wait to play that Zelda and F-Zero game :))

  • Unemployment Master

Just the fact that Nintendo didn’t make a Rock soundtrack for F-Zero GX was enough for me to not play that one.
This new one is even more pathetic.
I want the new Nintendo to vanish and Wiill Smith to fail.

But it was Sega that did those masterpieces not Nintendo as far as I know Nintendo only published the game.

      • Unemployment Master

Sega has nothing to do with F-Zero GX, except for making the arcade board in which GX arcade version, AX, ran on.

        • puchinri

Actually, Sega did have a lot to do with GX’s development, even though Nintendo did supervise and publish the game.

Also, no rock? How much of the OST did you listen to?

I would say Nintendo hasn’t changed significantly (many of their core elements and values are still there) and I don’t see why Will Smith is even included in that really. If you’re not happy with Nintendo, then just stop paying attention to and buying their games. :/

          • Unemployment Master

Wiill Smith ia a pathetic pun atempt at WiiU.

But yes, I’ll stop caring about Nintendo. It’ll be hard but if they keep this up, won’t be that much so.

          • puchinri

I don’t think I was ever going to get that. Or see how it relates.

Well I’d hope that you don’t have to stop caring about them, but really, it sounds like you’re part way there already.

The Nintendo land game is slowly but surely becoming a better game lol.^^

F-Zero, especially Zelda looks really fun too play.^^

  • Solomon_Kano

This game is actually looking really interesting. I’ll definitely keep an eye on it. Reggie said they’re hoping to drive a high attach rate for this title, so hopefully it gets bundled with the system but, if if doesn’t, I’ve seen enough that I’d buy it.

  • puchinri

This game looks like more and more fun. I’m sure I’ll be able to enjoy it a lot with friends and family. The F-Zero game was looking especially fun (and made me so hopeful for the series).

Glorious memories of many hours spent on F-Zero the original come flooding back :D
