Gyrozetter For Arcades Features A Transforming Mitsubishi Lancer

By Ishaan . June 8, 2012 . 1:30pm

Square Enix have two versions of Gyrozetter coming out—one for arcades, and an RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. We’ve only seen a scant few screenshots from the 3DS version of the Transformers-like game, but the arcade version will be released this month, and Square released a new trailer for it today, with in-game footage and the various licensed cars. Watch it below:

Gyrozetter will begin operating in Japanese arcades on June 21st. The Nintendo 3DS game will be released in Spring 2013. An anime series and manga are in the works, too.

Oh my god how did I never know this exists.

Oh, man. So excited for this~! I wish we were getting an arcade version too, but as long as we see the 3DS version, I am very happy. I hope the game does well too.

Also, SE is developing and publishing this, yes? Or is it just the latter?

    • usagi_san

      All Square Enix, my friend.

      • puchinri

Yes~! Thank you. I couldn’t entirely remember, but I thought (and hoped) that they indeed are deving and publishing this themselves.

Even the arcade hardware?  #InHindsight, many people thought Square Enix bought out Taito for the latter’s arcade expertise. ?_?

        • usagi_san

Just needed to do a quick Google search on Taito. I would have to agree with those people; the acquisition of Tatio would lead to a reduction in outsourcing and cost. No, Square would’ve bought them for that very reason.

Looks AMAZING… Wish I could see someone play it tho. I can’t figure out what it takes to be so flashy.

  • Sperium3000

The arcade game certainly looks awesome. If the anime has similar animation then I’ll definitely watch that hell out of it.

First Lagrange by Nissan and now Gyrozetter by Nissan, Toyota, and Mitsubishi, nice…wonder if it will be represented in anime too.

Where’s the Gyrozetter based on the Ford Focus? In the shop?

      I can see the ENDING!

  • Solomon_Kano

Dear sweet Lord, I hope this gets a PS3 release in the future. That RX-8 and Lancer both look badass! I was wondering how this would play, and it looks incredible.

  • RaikageV

If the 3DS version looks just nearly as awesome as this, I’m sold.

  • Syn

The sheer AWESOMENESS of those moves might just “drive” me comat…..*droooling*
