Melee weapons like swords and hammers aren’t your only option in Rune Factory 4. Like the previous Rune Factory games, you’ll also be able to use staves and play as a magic-based character instead of a melee one. This morning, Marvelous AQL released a short clip of one of the staff weapons:

Rune Factory 4 is scheduled for release on July 19th in Japan.

    ill be using the gloves.
    Without a doubt.

When he picked up the bird, I thought he was gonna piledrive it.

  • Elemiel

Definitely going to use the gloves along with the dual blades and short swords.

  • IsaacGravity

That settles it, then. Gloves for me all the way. Maybe even hum a few Kinnikuman tunes if we can get some extra special throws ala the Wooly form in RF3.

  • Muffum

Given the throwing, the glove’ll play exactly like the Wooly form in RF3.

  • KuroiKen

I’m all for dual swords, but gloves might be cool as well.

Staffs were absolutely amazing to use in RF 3 since you could customize its normal attacks and charge attacks. Still, short-swords with dual-sword skills are my favourite.
