Persona 3 Film Adaptation Confirmed

By Ishaan . June 10, 2012 . 9:31am

More reports from Japan have confirmed that Persona 3 will indeed be seeing a film adaptation sometime in the future. As reported yesterday, the Persona 4 The Animation –the Factor of Hope- movie ends with a cameo appearance by the protagonist of Persona 3.

P3’s protagonist reportedly puts an Evoker—the “guns” used to summon a Persona in that game—to his head and pulls the trigger. An accompanying note mentions that production of a Persona 3 film adaptation has begun. No further details have been announced yet, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more news.

Hopefully it’s awesome! Looking forward to this.

  • Samurai_Heart

Let’s hope they can squeeze in all the plot points =p, so hope it’s a 2hr movie, oh and releases of the Persona anime movies overseas XD

    -Revisioning the news-
My fear: They will cut the S.Link shorts….. The tartarus dungeon crawling CAN be cut down….  Whtever you guys do, just don’t screw this up. If they r going to make a single movie out of it, it needs to be as long as the Haruhi movie…..

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Saving the best Persona for last! Awww yeeahhh!!

        oh u

      • Splintee

        5?  6? 7? 8? 9? 10?

  • Splintee

P4:Animations was a big success so they plan for another big success….

  • So dance while I put you in a trance!
It’s part boogie in the body, move that body, move that body,
make sure you don’t hurt nobody!
    I say hey, hey, hey!

  • EverEndingStory

Maybe that means they will start building on P3 more? It makes sense as the story for P3 actually still has room for resolution. I’m excited for this. Honestly, more excited then I am for any of the new Persona 4 releases, if only due to overexposure. I’ve always loved Persona 4 and preferred it to P3 (both are masterpieces, even P4 still), but even I think it has gotten a little out of hand. In just one year P4 transformed into an entire media franchise in and of itself, rivaling the size of its “mother” franchise.

  • revenent hell

im thinking I might be among the rare few but ive never been interested in shows/movies that deal with the videogames I play. Well if the anime/manga came first it might make me buy the game if one was made but in general im not very interested in them in the reverse order since I find they dont follow the game as accurately and alot of things change with it and im not a great fan of that. If it stays true to the game im fine with it but for me alot of things based off of games tend to be done so differently in anime/manga it sometimes dosent resemble what I loved of the game. But im odd like that.

But I have to say if a Digital Devil Saga anime popped up that was true to the game id so grab it or a Nocturne one.

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

I really dont understand how people are always baffled at games being unable to fit into 90 to 120min long movies, not every single point in a game is actually important to the main plot.

Excited for p3, although I wouldnt have minded an actual tv anime series, a movie will be perfect and probably easier for some company to grab localization rights for. Akihiko, main character, Shinjiro on my screen, cant wait. Cant wait for cameo from Kenji, best social link character in the series.

    • Its not dat, most of us is just worried tht they chopped up the plot to fit into the timelength of the movies……

    • Let see…
      12 Arcana…
      Shinjiro scene…
      Aigis Scene…
      3x Strega Battle…
      Last Boss Battle…
      Answer(?) too maybe…
And some of talk this and that…
Well…I dunno…I think its not really fit tho for 120 min…
      Especially the Last Battle…
I want the epic one because the song is already epic….

Or…Maybe the will make a bad end version??

      • vivaluis59

I think the whole introduction/battle on the roof is going to take a while

      • XYZ_JolteonZ980

We dont need all that time with the 12 arcana to be honest, P4A really shocked that its unneccesary and really slow when wasting time to fully flesh that outh. The battles could be done, Aigist and Shinjiro too. P3 no answer is enough…

  • kool_cid414

Sounds good to me. P3 got me into the series and is probably my favorite game of all time honestly.

  • Awesome, but what’s all this new SMT: Persona media adding up to? I see big things in the way of P5!

  • Xapth

Finally, I can forget about the disaster that was Persona -trinity soul- with a true Persona 3 adaptation.

It’s good that they chose a film, because P3’s plot wasn’t really fit for an anime. I’m really excited to see all our P3 friends in anime form, I wonder what they’re going to name the Male Protagonist?

    • pothier.adrien

      Minato Arisato.
      Or else… *goes yandere*

  • Nitraion

    I like what i see here….:)

  • I can’t see this working. Persona 3 is simply too complicated for a film. They’ll either have to work it down so much that it might as well be another story or they’ll make something like the .Hack G.U. movie, noted only for a good fight scene.

    • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Well, nothing regarding the story of the movie has been confirmed yet~ sure it could follow the path of the original game, in which case, I agree; it would be much too complicated for a movie. But, on the other hand, seeing that they are teasing this with Persona 4 (which took place after 3) it’s likely that this movie could be an original with a story all to it’s own. Really, the possibilities are endless here ^_^ lol

      •  The last time they did an original animated series we got Persona Trinity. Also it took them an entire season to get the P4 protagonist to have a personality. No way they do that in two hours (at most).

  • canarinta

Well I would like the movie to last a good 3 hours or so. You cant compress this huge story into an series, let alone a 90 minute film.

Though, I have no power to request that since

    I’n not a princess !

  • darkfox1

Aww I wish they started with a anime series first then a movie but still exited for this.

  • WHAT

  • Speedo Redempteur

    BUENO …

    • Beautiful Daisy ♥

No es bueno, Senor… Es FANTASTICO (^o^)/ lol

  • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Perhaps this is a continuation of the story after FES then?
*hype rises… and rises… reaches danger zone… continues past danger zone…. KABOOM~!* X_X Welp, there goes my hype meter ^_^ lol

    • Agreed. And it would be nice to see a link for P5 in there

      • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Thus far, all of the Persona games have been linked together in some way~ so, I think there’s a great possibility that Persona 5 might be as well ^_^

  • pothier.adrien

    Three letters :

    • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Let me add a couple of letters to that:
      H-E-L-L Y-E-S!!! :D lol

  • João Madalena

I like it that they are doing a adaptation of P3, but I don’t see it working out if P4 was an anime with 26 episodes and they still couldn’t extract the true potential of the story, I fail to see how a movie of P3 will do any better, it will be like the clannad movie it butchered the story and gave bad impression to clannad but thankfully the anime redeemed it.

  • … Why can’t Raidou get his own movie? :(

    • AnimusVox

ATLUS! Listen to this man…or woman….

    • mirumu

Raidou’s stories would be a really is a good fit for a movie.

  • And there I thought Square Enix was the one pushing a series beyond its limit but Atlus found a better way to break a limit. Why release a new game when you can make 1xx ports, an animation series, some movies, some live plays, some live concerts, some comics and while you are at it, release more PORTS!! Doesn’t matter what you do, people are still going to buy them anyway!

    • João Madalena

They are milking to see if they can increase sales, the persona series despite being critically acclaimed, had poor sales the best persona game P4 didn’t even reach the 1 million mark

  • Shadowman

  • DongT

sweeeet the only thing i dont like about theatrical films is that it usually takes a couple of months for them to be subbed and even longer to be dubbed. hmm if the story possibly takes place after fes maybe it’ll show events leading to Arena? no that cant be right cuz then they wouldnt have shown minato, anyways i hope the movies long as hell lol.

  • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Allow me to predict the future as to how the topic of this thread is going to go:
    Inb4 “Atlus is milking series”
Inb4 “Why no Persona 1/2 or SMT movie???”
Inb4 “*insert complaints about Persona 3/4 story not being good enough to be a movie*
    Etc. Etc
Really, this is what I’m expecting from some people~ I’m not going to let bother me however; I am much too happy to let it bother me (^o^)/ lol

    • M’iau M’iaut

Don’t forget the loligoddess mod reminding folks that mindless repetitive whining is mindless repetitive whining, regardless of topic and can be taken elsewhere. Minerva doesn’t want to have to say that.

    • Kevin Lor

@SuigetsuHiramuraIt sure bother you enough to post about it lol

CANT wait to see this :D

      • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Eh~ I’m just using my powers of foresight (i.e. pointing out the obvious) ^_^ lol
        I can’t wait for this either :D

    • Zonic505

Agreed. P3 hasn’t had much exposure lately (aside from that Trinity Soul spin-off & P3P a few years back), so I’m glad we’re getting a P3 adaptation & can’t wait to see it.

      • mirumu

Honestly I do have to laugh at the idea that P3 hasn’t had much exposure lately. The vast majority of games don’t get P3’s level of exposure ever.

Not that I’m complaining about it. I’d rather a good game like P3 got milked instead of being dropped and forgotten like so many other good series.

  • Setsuryuu

Now the only thing left to do is to quantify how much bonus interest I will have in that in “Mitsuru screentime” levels.

Btw, the info on it so far it’s so small and vague that I wouldn’t be surprised if they say this is gonna be live action. (ok, actually I would xD)

  • I hope P3 make it into series tho…
I wonder why they decided to make the movie??
Is it for attract more people before make it into series??
    Or just for fun??lol…

    You know Atlus…
If you really want more money…

Please make A rythm game based on SMT Music!!!

  •  I don’t complain, but would’ve prefered an anime instead of a movie… it won’t cover the whole story you know.

  • Airidas K

Looks like that we’re getting something like FSN:Unlimited Blade works, but if you know story well,it’s alright

  • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Well, I think now’s an appropiate time to burn some brea-er, I mean Dread ^_^ lol

  • DanteJones

This is glorious news! Enough so to make me change back to my original profile picture.

  • nemowsz

ATLUS. Oh god my heart. You can’t keep pushing out all these tactics to have me willingly empty my wallet into your bank. It should be illegal.
ATLUS what have you done to my heart.

  • RmanX1000

    • Testsubject909

      If you insist

      *Grabs a lighter*

  • Beautiful Daisy ♥

My relationship with Atlus is growing stronger… I think, yep, Social Link MAX :D

Oh, Atlus, just how much I love you can’t be put into words right now <3

Edit: Can I visit your room now, Atlus…? ^_^ lmao

Edit 2: *you spent a long time alone with Atlus…* :D hahaha

  • Alphabet Soup

I figured we’d never get this since Trinity Soul…happened…but since we are, WAHOO!  Length is inconsequential, daggone it, it’s happening!

  • Persona 3: The Milking

    • Aara_Malik_Davoodi

It’s not really milking. Anime movies are quite commonplace in Japan. It condenses the story to make it enjoyable for people who don’t want to sit through 26 episodes, or play the video game in this case

      • Setsu Oh

i always beleived both persona world were undeused. now i want a tv series with p3s movie like p4. waiting for p5

    • Youareallcryingmorons

       Zubikhan: The Crybaby

      • LOL, i’m actually glad persona 3 get’s more love, I was just kidding.. but still rather a new game oppose to a movie of an existing game.

    • Setsu Oh

why isn t there adislike button?

      • M’iau M’iaut

Because sadly it would get even more misuse than the like button gets. Our goal is not to divide the community, but encourage folks that if they disagree, post thoughtful responses.

    • M’iau M’iaut

And it turns out that @SuigetsuHiramura:disqus was indeed right. If you do think some of these same titles are being overdone, you are welcome to do more than share taglines that serve only to create other taglines like the ones below.

      • Beautiful Daisy ♥

It was bound to happen eventually and it’ll likely continue to happen throughout the day. Oh well, loligoddess mod, at least we were prepared for it ^_^ lol

      • lol it’s just a game, I don’t see how taglines would harm it or its fanbase.

        • M’iau M’iaut

Taglines alone too easily feed flames of overreaction. Tell us more about how you feel!

  • vivaluis59

The real question is how will we watch/buy p4 and p3’s movie?

  • Go2hell66

They need to have the hotsprings scene or im not watching it

  • Armin Siamy

Just how are they going to make it fit?!

  • XypherCode

    Hell yeah! Great news! :D

  • Freesun4

Persona 4 already took me lots of hours to complete and anime film was 90 minutes long. Persona 3 even has the FES version which continues its plot so I wonder how is the film going to be.

Hope it’s more than one movie.

  • Victoria [Rokuso3]

Movie instead of anime? Too bad, it would have been a good anime. If it isn’t a weird sequel, I’m ready for this!!

  • Setsu Oh

  • Setsu Oh

WHAT? its anime movie i think

  • amagidyne

I guess I was completely wrong. For obvious reasons, the P3 protagonist won’t be showing up in any of the things I thought it would be (prequel, sequel, side-story) unless it’s an alternate continuity.

So assuming it’s a straight adaptation, this will just be fanservice. Which is fine, I guess. I’m not going to watch it, but that’s nobody’s loss.

(Also, is Atlus’s dissolution into Index the reason for their sudden marketing push on P4/P3 or was this all on its way regardless?)

    • OneOkami

Index has always been my suspicion. Atlus didn’t seem like this to me before the acquisiton. This goes for both USA and Japan.

      • amagidyne

On the plus side, it could suggest that Atlus hasn’t changed. Index could be the ones pushing outside projects like anime and movies without any real involvement from the developers.

Atlus would still be behind the ports, but that’s not exactly a change.

    • LynxAmali

It definitely seems like the Index thing had something to do with it. Prior to it, we only got what? Trinity Soul?

And now we’ve gotten a Fighting game, a movie and 2 cour anime series. And then this.

      • OneOkami

        Don’t forget the stage play.

  • Well, it’s not an anime BUT WHATEVER. I’m so unbelievably happy right now. ; u ; Sorry P4, but you’ve gotta take a back seat now. I’ve been waiting for this since 2008.

  • So much Persona love, lets see some action for the other entries someday, yeah?

  • AokiShizuku

-Bows down to Atlus.- I am not worthy of such an awesome movie!

  • Asura

I just played through P4 in the past 2 weeks, and now I’m going back to Digital Devil Saga and 2 and finishing the second half.

Man is DDS better in every way, from story to gameplay.

P4 was still pretty fun though.

  • Milking to the max. Now it’s P3’s turn again. Why not put in more P3 characters as future DLC in P4 Arena while at it to make it a full circle Atlus? Of course, fandom will probably be happy.

    “Ooooh, Milking-aon~! Pretty scary, huh?”

    • Beautiful Daisy ♥

If it makes Atlus profits and pleases the fans, I really don’t see any problem with it~ besides, if you don’t milk a cow from time to time, it’ll get sick (true fact) ^_^ lol

      • M’iau M’iaut

        (Takes loligoddess mod hat off)

My practical concern would be taking resources away from a relatively small development team for whatever is being developed beyond SMTIV. I might also worry that the relatively light-hearted focus of P4:Anime, P4:Golden and P4:Arena will only alienate new Persona 4 fans when they learn what is really going on in the Persona/SMT multiverse. The discussions here of a year or so ago were that folks wanted the social aspects to continue in P5, but return to a darker story line.

P3 at least has the luxury of an end that is bittersweet.

        • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Your logical concern is… logical, lol. But I believe there is already a rift in the Persona/ SMT fanbase. All long-running series are bound to experience that sort of split in the fans eventually. Just look at Final Fantasy; that is one series that has a fanbase split beyond repair. Despite that, I don’t see it necessarily as a bad thing. A series must grow and evolve to appeal to a wider audience of new fans otherwise it’ll die off~ and I don’t think anyone would want that to happen.

          • M’iau M’iaut

I’ve been busy enough watching over the DmC and RE threads this week to know what fan splits can be like.

It is indeed a delicate dance, h*ll, things should probably be argued that the rift started with P3, when it allowed for a few rays of sun to come in and that one might have some impact on things when a world goes to s*it. Yet it seems we are taking another step beyond to a place where moped riding is a suitable activity while a world goes to s*it. Save the ride into the sunset, the brofist or the popping of a tall cold one for a time after Nyx being returned to the h*ll from which she spawned. The beer (or milk) goes down smoother that way.

          • amagidyne

I don’t think it’s nearly as linear a change as the fans believe. There have only been four Persona games (I’m counting IS and EP as one because they share a number and are so closely linked). Each game has been singular, and although they share a lot of ideas and gameplay, a lot of things could never be moved from one game to another.

P3 would never include the rumor mechanic of P2, P3 would never have P1’s dream machine, P4 would never have the absurdly powerful Kirijo group of P3. In those contexts, they would seem out of place or insane. It’s the same with mopeds.

P4:G’s rainbow scooter rides could be read as pointing towards P5’s tone, but there’s no reason to assume that they do. P4 was always that happy. Comparing the original OP with P3’s makes that clear. Burn My Dread is all about overcoming despair and, well, dread. Pursuing My True Self is equally self-explanatory.

(And hey, if you were a Japanese teenager trying to save the world,
you’d want to get to places as fast as possible, right? I don’t think
they’re legally allowed to drive cars, so…)

The games are about completely different things. P3 is about death. P4 is about truth. P4 almost had to be sunnier. This doesn’t prove any kind of progression. If anything, it suggests that Atlus won’t just make another P4. Assuming that this trend will continue is as logical as someone in 2006 assuming that P4 would be as dark as P3.

I’m not saying that it’s stupid or anything. It is (and was) completely reasonable to make educated guesses. All I’m saying is that there’s no evidence for it. Until we get some details, we have nothing to go on.

My guess (which is as worthless as anyone else’s) is that if they return to an urban setting, it will be a lot darker. Or maybe there will be, like, a horse who grants wishes and turns ghosts into cream.

          • M’iau M’iaut

@amagidyne:disqus Good points, and Catherine shows they can write and plum the depths of actual adult characters. I may just be letting myself be blinded by all the recent rainbows and pastels.

It certainly would seem time to get something more on P5 beyond vague pachinko adverts, stories of voice work already being done or expectations that this new shadow/velvet room girl may be serving the introductory role that Vincent did in P3P. Of course that time was never going to be E3 and if these ‘cash-ins’ will help give P5 the same impact P3 did when it came out, bring out those cows and indeed milk them strawberry.

      • This anime is also a way to atract ppl to get interested and buy the game lol. Srsly, P4Animation is the anime that makes me want P4G and subsequently introduce me to the SMT franchise.

Sooo, why not? Let milk it to a reasonable limit.

  • if it makes them money toward making persona 5 (my same feelings are toward mayonaka arena) then idc xD. milk for all it’s worth!

    • Beautiful Daisy ♥

Indeed ^_^ Oh, the glorious power of milk~ ’tis beneficial to both the company and the fans, lol.

  • Brandon001

  • countupyoursins

Ah, I have four words for you Atlus:

  • Lisa Fraulein

I wish the PSP female protagonist is gonna be in there too (or at least a cameo), but if this is based on P3 originals, maybe not :/. Still excited for P3 though <3

  • edit: whoops, that was meant for the open thread,

Anyway a P3 film adaptation? sounds awesome.
would prefer a P3 anime though

  • Nathan_GreeneIV

    Write me an endless song!
Soul Phase from Persona 3 Portable opening.

  • DHInc

So this will be the second time Akihiko is in a Persona anime if you count Persona Trinity Soul.
All i can say is it’s about time Persona 3 got an anime adaptation.

    • SeventhEvening

No one should ever count Trinity Soul

      • Testsubject909

I enjoyed Trinity Soul okay… Except for that part about how adults couldn’t have Personas. That was just retarded and a bit of a slap in the face of the older Persona games.

      • Vincent Gaspar

        uhm why not???

        • SeventhEvening

Because it was terrible. It was a slap in the face in the regards of the canon and it didn’t possess the feel or quality of the rest of the franchise. It was poorly paced with the only connections to the previous games being weak fanservice. It possessed virtually no references to mythology or psychology, which was at the core of Persona and of the Megaten series as a whole. The only redeeming feature I can think of the ending sequence, although it did have a single episode that wasn’t too bad. I hate that I slogged through the entire series hoping that it would get better purely because it bore the Persona name.

As the other commenters mentioned, it is better to repress those memories and pretend the whole thing never happened.

          • terry cocks

everything u said is completely wrong, persona trinity soul was a masterpiece, why do u think everyone liked it so much? look at imdb, troll!

    • LynxAmali

Trinity Soul? I don’t recall they’re being a Persona anime named that. P4’s the only one.

I’ve heard people mention it but I’ve always heard people mention a Tsukihime anime (BWAHAHAHAHA! Like they’ll ever make that.)

      • What’s wrong with those people?  There’s no Tsukihime anime.

    • Pretty sure even Atlus disowns Trinity Soul.

      • cj_iwakura

Yep, they’ve explicitly said it’s not canon.

    • Lisa Fraulein

While I don’t count Trinity Soul as a Persona anime, that anime still made me teared up TT^TT

  • yoUNg_grOUp568

  • rurin

    This sounds awesome :D
    I’d love to see it!
    I don’t think they’l be adding in the P3P heroine though…right? >.<

  • LynxAmali

Come on, original story. COME ON, ORIGINAL STORY.

What? I don’t want them to rush everything with a single movie.

    • boundries_san

You want another trinity soul here?

      • LynxAmali

What I mean is take the main plot, take a few creative liberties to make it fit and BAM!

        What’s Trinity Soul? :D

        • boundries_san

A bad bad story made around Persona 3 story that in the end flopped hard.

      • Vincent Gaspar

        trinity soul was fantastic!

Time for some Mass Destruction! =D

  • omgomgomgomgomg

  • Maia Kasoya

It’d be a miracle for me if they made “Minato Arisato” his official name… And if they also add in the Female Protagonist.

  • RablaAndrews

If they actually think they can adapt P3 into a movie, this is going to be terrible.

I’m waiting for an announcement that it’s multiple movies, but I doubt we’re that lucky.

  • I’m excited about this news as I really enjoy P3’s story (at least what I’ve played so far) and am excited to see what they do with this. Hopefully they don’t try to cram it into 1 1/2 hours worth of footage as that never seems to work well (The Last Airbender, Eragon to name, but a few). For me specifically I’m wanting to see the movie last for 2 1/2 hours at least (the same length as the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya film). I’m also very interested in what Minato will sound like and whether they will make a new canon name for him.

On another note, I do hope that this is only the start of the Persona adaptations. I personally would love to see P1 and P2 get some as well. They’re both great stories that I would love to see animated. Not that P3 is an issue, as I’ve stated a few times, I’m very excited for it, I just also want to see the older games given this treatment as well.

On another, another note. I hope that P5 is kind of hinted at in this film. Nothing major, just something that will tease the fans of the games. An offhand comment, or an after credits sequence (after all, they’ve worked wonders for Marvel) would be great.

Anyways, excited. Definitely excited for this.

  • I am 50-50 about this. I don’t want the female protag, I don’t want an alternate ending, I don’t want “Mass Destruction” *cries*. I am not sure if they’ll even be included.

What I do want is more back story on the P3 characters, not just “Junpei’s dad is a drunk.” or “Ken had a mom.” I want to see their actual past and not just the ones in the Answer.

But hey, that has a small chance of happening so I won’t hold my breath.

P3 story is great and i would totally love to watch it on a movie or series, thing is in P3 A LOT of things happen, they would need to butcher some parts, at least most things from first half year, since September-October things start to get really serious so i guess that would be thier main starting point.

I wonder what attitude P3 MC will have, considering everyone had their “own” way of play. And the “neutral” type was already used on Yu, if they used the same persona (see what i did there) for both P3 and P4 MC movies it would look pretty simple and lazy.

  • Yukari in shower in full anime form. Mmmm.

    • Lisa Fraulein

The reason why I want the PSP female protagonist in, so I can see Akihiko half-naked >///<

      • I’m sure the animated hot spring prt will include it…

  • Niermyico

I can’t wait for the epic battle of “The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate… Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed…”

“Beyond the bitten path, lies the absolute end. It matters not who you are… Death awaits you.”

I won’t be the same though. Since I’ve only played the DUB version of P3.

  • Animate the beach part!!

  • Persona 3 is serious swag.

    love. that. game.

  • joe ling

Cool, im playing P3 FES for the first time on ps3 and its amazing. Does anyone know if the anime for P4 is the same story has the game? Or if the fighting game has spoilers for P4? Never play P4.

    •  The fighting game is a sequel to Persona 4, so yeah, it has spoilers. It also takes place after Persona 3, so I’d imagine it’ll spoil that game some too, especially since it has some P3 characters.

      • joe ling

What about the anime? Is it the same plot as the game?

        • LynxAmali

The P4 anime? Yeah. It’s the same story.

They cut and paste here and there due to time constraints but overall, it’s the same plot. They just condensed things here and there to make it for 25 episodes.

Still say play the game if you can.

  • TheFoolArcana

    This will suck. Hard.

    • haqua

It’s always wonderful to see someone pass judgement on something when there are literally no details about it yet!

      • TheFoolArcana

Except well, you know, the entire story it’ll be based on, and the fact that they’ll be condensing a 70 plus hour RPG into a 2 hour movie, possibly butchering any and all character development even though that’s a core focus of the Persona series as a whole.

Next time, please think before you comment, or at least tell us why you feel this way.

  • Somehow, I’m glad that Persona 3 will only have a movie.

  • boundries_san

While i know this won’t happen……….. can i dream that this movie will………. present both MC together? Both the male and female at the same time.^^

  • Splintee

I wish there will be the glorious commu break scene like on the audio cd!!!

      • M’iau M’iaut

        • Testsubject909

          Sucks for him.

…I wonder what other joke could follow this…

  • Yuri

I would like to know how they will fit P3 protagonist’s “pimpness” into only 90 minutes? I believe Minato’s motto should be “Gotta tap ’em all!” :-v

On another note, if production is only beginning now we (non-resident japanense) would in the best case scenario be able to watch the BD release of the movie in 2014. Even that is me being optimistic… more like 2015.

  • AzureNova

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! >_<

*Shoots self in head with excitement*

  •  i more looking up for p3 sequel that unbind mysteries of p3 protagonist fate but for a film…it still worth looking..but i afraid it gonna be suck because p4 animation is  suck production

  • terry cocks

  • terry cocks
