Capcom have green-lit a TV drama based on the Sengoku Basara series of games, the company announced today. The drama will begin to air on July 12th on the Mainichi Broadcasting System station in Japan, and will proceed to the BS-TBS channel later in September.
The TV series is titled Sengoku Basara –Moonlight Party-, and Capcom announced the show’s main cast of actors today, too. The lead role of Masamune Date will be played by Kento Hayashi. Kohei Takeda will play Masamumen’s rival, Yukimura Sanada. Playing the role of Masamune’s right-hand man, Kojuro Katakura, will be Hidenori Tokuyama, and finally, GACKT will be playing Nobunaga Oda. Cinema Today have a photograph of the cast in costume:

Capcom promise that Sengoku Basara –Moonlight Party- will contain “all the energy and excitement of the game’s original characters,” but don’t mention if there exists a screenplay of Hayashi riding a horse like a motorcycle, speaking in English.
Food for thought:
Sengoku Basara is already known to have a lot of female fans. We can only imagine that this will help diversify its audience even further.
