Nintendo of America have announced their upcoming line-up of Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console games for North America. You can watch a quick trailer showing the various games above, and here’s the release schedule:

The Legend of Zelda (NES) – July 5th

Kirby’s Pinball Land (Game Boy) – July 12th

The Sword of Hope II (Game Boy) – July 12th

Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy) – July 19th

Tumblepop (Game Boy) – July 19th

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy) – July 19th

Also scheduled for release this summer are Sonic Blast and Sonic Labyrinth for the Game Gear, and other unspecified titles. From July 5th through August 1st, Nintendo will release two 3DS Virtual Console titles a week.

Glad to see Wario Land finally hit the US eShop soon, along with Kirby’s Pinball Land & Kid Icarus: Of Myths & Monsters. Cannot wait to download them.

Never played Myths and Monsters. This should be fun.

It is better than the original in pretty much every way. I found it to be a far more rewarding experience, and the lack of “dying when you fall off the screen” allows for better exploration of the levels, as does the horizontal looping scroll.

“lack of “dying when you fall off the screen”.

That statement alone has me excited to play oM&M.

  • Glad to see Nintendo putting a little more effort into the 3DS VC. It’s an amazing idea, and i’m desperately hoping they don’t end up just abandoning it. (At least let it live long enough for us to get more GBA titles than just the Ambassador Program provided! ;o; )

  • A little surprised it took this long for zelda to come out. Oh well, happy for people wanting to play it.

Had to let the ambassadors have their fun with it first~

Wario Land is July 26th, not 19th.
Also, it’s safe to assume that Sonic Blast and Sonic Labyrinth will have one hit on the 5th and one on the 26th, since that fills the two empty slots for VC games (the only dates not to have two games are the first and last week, and those are the only two games not to have dates. Nintendo promised 2 per week, ergo those HAVE to be the dates for those two games.)

Already have Legend of Zelda, ambassador program, yeah.

    • WarioFan63

Now you’ll have it with save states!

    • Joe

If they could manage to give it the 3D classics treatment I will be ecstatic.

OMG YES! I love the 3D classics!

  • I’m on board for this update mainly for Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters.
