A collector’s edition of Bravely Default will be made available for purchase exclusively through Square Enix’s e-Store. This will include a giant augmented reality poster, the game’s soundtrack, an art album, and a cover for the 3DS. The collector’s edition will cost a whopping 12,800 yen.

The third demo for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is available on the Nintendo eShop in Japan today. This one gives a taste of the game’s battle system.

Now Square you can announce this and Final Fantasy Type 0 for the US.
I will be playing Theatrhythm while I wait for you to launch both.

    • This might get localized. Type-0 won’t though.

I dont see why you say that I think they just dont know wether to put it on the Vita or the 3DS to be honest. I think they knew a long time ago it wouldnt be ready befor the psp was by most considerd redundant here, though id rather have it for the psp than the Vita…I have no want of one …Its a FF game if we got dissidia I dont see why they wouldnt localise Type O here

        • I say that because it is true. They won’t bring it for PSP because it’ll not sell well. And they won’t remake it. No need for them to. We just aren’t getting. Sad but true.

           type zero localization got cancelled

          • Go2hell66

said who? I dont remember SE saying the localization was cancelled at any point

          •  Just like they haven’t officially confirmed the game up for localization. At the time being, anything concerning Type-0’s localization is just pure speculation.

        • Anime10121

That was just a mention of them working on a localization in a Japanese Ultimania book.  They haven’t even mentioned the game’s existence in the west.  While I would like for the game to come over too, its highly unlikely at this point, unless its redone for the Vita.  And sadly with the Vita’s current sales rate, they may not find that to be a worthy investment.

Makes me wish people had supported fan translations more :C We’d have a translated version by now, probably. I remember there were a lot of difficulties, though.

    And it’ll fly overseas in early 2013? :D? :D?

  • aoihana

Awesome! Downloaded the demo a short while ago along with Taiko no Tatsujin. I haven’t tried the battle system, but I’ll see if I can give it a go tomorrow. Taiko is really fun, though! (>y<)

    I hope Bravely Default get’s a localization soon! (*≧m≦*)

The battle system is pretty interesting. It has this neat mechanic where you can delay your future turns to attack consecutively. Enemies can and will do it too. You can also guard to build up even more turns.

    Does their store do international shipping? And if not, what’s the likelihood that we’d at least get the OST with a collector’s edition version? ;u;

That sound so amazing. I’d like to be able to save up and get that, and just sell the game and wait for a localized version. Guh! I already wanted the game so much, and that collector’s edition is so much want too. TTATT

October is indeed the month of death for my wallet here.T_T With Project X Zone + this? Wallet is surely going to die fast here.T_T

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

And Senran Kagura Burst next month. We must stay strong, brother!

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Uuukhh. You just make remember about another series here.T_T But here……..i am still hoping for that game coming here lol.

Considering this one also insert the first title inside isn’t it?

  • well, all there is now is to wait for a US release date

then I’ll finally have some RPGs to play on my 3DS~

    . . . sigh TT ,TT

  • KHSoraKeyBlade

Given that it is the same team who worked on The 4 Heroes of Light I am still pretty confident that this will be released outside of Japan even if we’ll have to wait up to a year for it xD
Glad to finally see a release date for it though! :D

Wow…this game must be super awesome, i mean look at the price o_o its one of the most expensive handheld games i have ever seen for release.

Well i guess it is justified, since the voice acting, the software implemented in the game, etc but i still i think many will be discouraged to buy this game on day 1 (im talking about a US release with the same price, that would be like 78 dollars out of the bat) but heck, maybe im totally wrong here and it will sell just fine.
But still with the price and all, im really hoping a US, AU, EU, LA release cause this game is a masterpiece and every cent spend on it, i asure all its worth it.

    • Exkaiser

6100 yen is kind of average for portable games in Japan. Likewise, the hugely expensive collector’s edition isn’t too shocking after you’ve seen a ton of them.

  • Anime10121

DO WANT! Square get on your job and get this localized ASAP!  This is NOT a request, what are you doing just sitting there?  This is an order! Work on localization NOW!!!

  • SirRichard

2013 for the rest of the world, I imagine. If Nintendo don’t get the drop on it at one of their Directs, probably going to be an E3 reveal depending on how long it takes. Though, Square’s localisations are pretty fast, so it’ll probably hit before then.

  • fancycakes

eeeeee I want this game SO bad

  • Awesome news, now where’s the localization announcement?

I’m glad that it’s got a solid release date. However, at the same time this is only going to make me far more eager for a localization announcement. Don’t fail me Square, please don’t fail me!
