Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Clashes With Europe Next Spring

By Ishaan . July 5, 2012 . 8:10am

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 was only just recently announced in Japan, but Namco Bandai confirmed the game for a European release as well this morning. The game will be available in Europe in Spring 2013, and you can watch a trailer for it below:

Developed by CyberConnect 2 like Namco’s other Naruto fighting games, Namco say Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 has the most playable characters in the series’ history and goes back to the very beginning to when Naruto was just a child.

“After I tried my hardest to finish the Paris Marathon in April but just couldn’t make it, I feel like I owe something back to this amazing city,” said Hiroshi Matsuyama, President of CyberConnect2 (the announcement took place at the Japan Expo in Paris).

“So I’m very excited to be presenting the first ever hands-on of our newest Naruto game at Japan Expo today. It’s the perfect way to say thank you to the people of Paris and Europe for all their support!”

    • Asura

Do you not keep up with the series…?

Or, taking it back to part 1, do you remember the Sound 4? Or how about the Sound team that participated in the chuunin exams that never made their way into any Naruto game ever created.

      • XGriever

actually the sound 4 were in the ultimate ninja series for the PS2.

        • Asura

Actually you didn’t read my post.

The sound team which participated in the chuunin exams has never been in any Naruto fighter.

S4 were both in the gekitou games and the narutimate games.

… I just hope Namco releases Tales of Xillia on the same time (Like Namco released Generations on the same time as Tales of Graces f)

  • Anime10121

Wow, that was MUCH faster than I was expecting, I wasnt even expecting
the Japanese release to happen that early. Looking forward to it!!!

  • OatMatadoQuatro

Kinda wish there an important marathon in my country this year XD

  • British_Otaku

If it is releasing by Spring 2013, I have some doubt over whether the source material will be finished so they can cover the whole story.

Not many adaptations get announced and even trailers before the original is finished and manage to end with all of the original material or at least featuring the whole story.

  • Crimson_Cloud

I hope they bring out the awesome boss battles and story from Ninja Storm 2.

      That’s already in.

      • Crimson_Cloud

Really? Then all we need now is a character creator and good mode for it to fit. ;)

I would hope so, considering they can pretty much copy/paste the characters that are already done with miniscule tweaks.

I hope it’s better than generations.

  • Göran Isacson

    Huh.

I mean, odds are good that they’ll have wrapped up the manga in Japan by the time this game is finished, but in Europe? Not so sure… Maybe they just think all the European fans follow scanlations so it won’t really matter?

  • Solomon_Kano

    That’s cool.
