NIS America have announced a limited edition plus figure set for Mugen Souls. At $100 in price, the set will include a hardcover artbook, the game’s soundtrack, a hand towel and body sponge, and Nendoroid figures of characters Chou-Chou, Altis, and Shampuru. Take a look at the set below:

The contents of the set will come in a special limited edition box. Mugen Souls is scheduled for release on September 18th, 2012 for the PlayStation 3. You can pre-order the set here.

Mugen Souls is developed by Hyperdimension Neptunia developer, Compile Heart. It’s a turn-based role-playing game with “moe kills,” which can be used to enslave enemies and turn them into items.

  • Thought the sponge would be of one of the main girls.

  • huh, I thought this was a PSN game.  Or is it both retail and PSN?

  • xXDGFXx

    And it’s… 100$!

Their most expensive limited edition yet!
My wallet weeps because of you NISA! Why must you starve it of money!

    • PoweredByHentai

Your wallet will take it like a man and it shall learn to like it in the process.  :D

      • xXDGFXx

Your S&M play is far greater than I can imagine.

    • Herok♞

Actually that was disgaea 4 at $120.

      • xXDGFXx

oh, right. That game had 3 tiers o_o

    • Hoshi星

Disgaea 4’s LE was 20$ more expensive and contained less stuff than this Mugen Souls LE (unless you count each figurines)

  • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

I had the normal version pre-ordered at Gamestop for $49.99…I might go for the Limited Edition for $64…but $100!…I would have to pass just for the extra figures.

  • chobitsza

     I love you NISA. >//////////////////////<
    You're the best EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Herok♞

I will just get the normal game if I buy it.

  • Getting nendo’s is amazing, it looks pretty top quality.

The sponge though… that has me worried they included their creepy loli bathing crap….

    • Guest

I didn’t even know this feature was in the game. *Shivers* Now the L.E. makes sense to me. T-T

      • Muffum

From what I’ve heard, Mugen Souls has been censored for US/Europe release, so this might have been one of the features removed.

        • Guest

Ah, alright. Well, it doesn’t bother me, I was just a bit surprised haha. The battle system looks fantastic! Can’t wait. ^.^

        • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

That would make sense since I heard it is only getting a teen rating instead of  M.

I wonder what the hell she is even saying…a little disturbing.

        • Also, one of the characters has her personality modified as well… Chou Chou is her name I think… She originally has a S personality but NISA modified her to whatever they deem fit to get the US/EU release…

        • I wouldn’t be surprised if the bathing was out — I don’t think they could get that passed censors unless there was a cold day in hell.  IIRC Kodomo no Jikan[?] wasn’t released for the same reason.

          • Avvy Vanessa

Agarest 2 has the same feature but was rated T though, which puzzles me. It gives the impression that NISA was too paranoid.

          • Emily Jackson

Well you have a lot more consumers in the market now who are fidgety at the slightest things. It wasn’t like back in 2000 when games were generally for geeks and otaku.

Even the anime communities now are fidgety which is sad because they don’t realize this affects the anime genre as a whole too. How would you to like to watch Chobits now where the scene betwee Hideki “rebooting” chii or even having “feelings” for chii gets censored, altered, or removed from the show?

The whole story would be destroyed to bits because show depends heavily upon the protagonist reactions to one another. It is a love-story after-all!

          • Emily Jackson

The only things we can do besides fan-translations and modding and petitions it to submit donations to the Comic Book Legal Defense so innocent consumers aren’t thrown behind bars for something as stupid as a fictional character showing it’s stomach on a video-game. =___=

    • Luna Kazemaru

thats not even in the western version so chill out. -_-

      • I’m not making a big deal out of it, I’m just thinking it’s a bit…bleh, kinda tasteless to say the least (JP or US version — it’s still in there).  If you wanna wash up lolis, then that’s your thing.

    • Nemesis_Dawn

As much as I can see why that might be troublesome, I’m probably not going to pick this title up, because it is censored. I don’t like the idea of material being cut because someone might find it objectionable. That person can always just choose not to buy the game.

      • Emily Jackson

You can also mod the game to get what’s been censored back in or get the original before it comes out for NA.

That’s what I did with TERA. Still got the JP-version in my hands, UNCENSORED.

Just be careful of the rating system. Right now I don’t trust anything over C Cero.

I like now the added the figurines and sponge items. When I was petitioning against the censoring for TERA the company basically lied to every consumer’s face that what they did was “top quality” and didn’t give an ounce of consideration for anything, not even request of better censored edits.

Now even bathing-suits will be censored…that’s how ridiculous they’ve turned that game into =_=

        • M’iau M’iaut

Please leave suggestions of modding games and systems or seeking ‘fan-translations’ elsewhere. NISA has been very upfront with their changes with this title from their first press release. One can decide to base a purchasing decision on that fact or not.

        • Nemesis_Dawn

I choose not to hack my PS3 (nor my 360). I like to do things the legal way, thank you.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Yeah I saw the nendroids. Wish they did this with Meruru or Totori back when I had money. Sadly I’ll just be getting the normal game.

I do wish they didn’t have to censor it though. Almost makes me want to import it if they went hard at it.

  • neetloaf

Finally a limited edition item that’s both awesome AND practical, because you’re definitely going to feel dirty after playing through this game.

  • Hoshi星

We get more stuff than Mugen Souls’s jp LE? That’s fantastic!!! If I recall correctly, they had the game, a special DVD and the puchis. We get an OST, an artbook, a hand towel + a sponge… That’s p. neat.

  • gaiahatergaia

    “Moe kills” I’m in.
And the fact that this game is like a combination of Neptunia+Disgaea makes me even more excited for it.

And damn NISA, I LAFS YOU.

Speaking of “Moe kills”, nice pun there, my good sir.

  • Nendoroids are adorable as always! Also, a sponge and towel you will never use, to preserve the novelty

  • Gyro Zeppeli

Damnit, NOW they’re able to bring over the Nendoroids? I kinda wanted that one that came with Disgaea 4 but instead we got mediocre trading figures.

  • Already pre-ordered my copy when they were at Anime Expo – I was actually surprised to see it there since I couldn’t recall them announcing it or maybe I just forgot.

I’m also glad they set out to release a LE that goes to the $100 mark. I think getting this shows that some fans really will drop a pretty penny to get the same goods that fans in Japan get. (Maybe even bring out Black Rock Shooter now, too?)

  • MrRobbyM

I’m really digging all the goodies more than the game itself(which isn’t saying much). But the hand towel is adorable!

  • TheSquishyTanker

I want those Nendoroids, but 100 is too much for me at the moment. How irritating…

    • Xerain

It’s too much for me right now as well. Good thing I’ve got two months to figure something out.

  • I might get it if this comes to Europe as well… Gotta love the nonsensical things like “moe kills”…

  • I love sketchy items like these. Especially when you can order them online and avoid the shame of another person seeing you buy them.

In all seriousness, there’s no shame in being true to yourself. I bought the DearS manga when an old lady was running the register, and I’d do it again.

    • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Just smile and pay…smile and pay :)

The girl looked at me like I had 2 heads when I pre-ordered this at Gamestop. I might have to cancel that to at least get the $64.99 limited edition…

      • Draparde

someone at a Gamestop  nearby was actually surprised when my friend openly admitted he loved the neptunia series.

since apparently most people tend to be very quiet about their preorders and purchases of that series lol.

    • Luna Kazemaru

Now think of the looks a woman gets if she gets things like that. :D

  • Must preorder this game! I was intrigued with this one and will definitely be picking up a copy, however this limited edition is really, really tempting. I may be ordering from NISA themselves for this game…

  • When I tried a demo at anime expo i loved it and preordered it :D

  • Ordered right away.  Have ordered directly from them since MK2 and see no reason not to continue to do so.  Not one product has ever arrived with even a ding in it.  I feel really safe as a collector with their shipping.  Have to cross my fingers with Ni No Kuni though.

  • elsalvadorps

Done with my order, now I await for them to do the same for Neptune V

  • Nemesis_Dawn

I’m a bit bothered that it was censored enough to get it a T rating. I figured whatever they were cutting had to be so bad that they would’ve gone beyond an M, so it had to be cut. I’m not sure I approve of censoring it so much that it gets a lower rating, especially after they swallowed M ratings for MK2 and Ar Tonelico III to maintain the games’ integrity.

    • M’iau M’iaut

I’d suspect it’s the result of them playing Mugen Souls as ‘by the Disgaea folks’. Disgaea and Disgaea 2 are really as close as they’ve ever come to mainstream success and I’m guessing they didn’t want to harm that franchise with a few moments of loli soapland fun.

      • Nemesis_Dawn

Makes sense, but still makes me not feel particularly good about picking the title up.

  • Learii

wow i wish i can buy that but i saving my money  for ni no kuni wizard edition i don’t want to waste $200

  • FX102A

Honestly I don’t know which one to get. Figurines have never been a big thing with me and the extra $35 mark up is steep. I mean they’ll just go in my glass case and be forgotten amongst the other stuff. Yet the collector bones within me are calling. Oh what to do! Someone enlighten me!

  • I’m def getting this!  It’s a really well made bundle.  I’m loving the figures, I just wish the Hyper-Nep mk2 set came with the figures in the States like it did in JP.  Also, I don’t really care about the censorship, that is what youtube is for.

  • Crazy_O

Its difficult to buy something you know is censored, not because you want to bath lolis… coming from a country where censoring runs rampant it feels like giving in and throwing the little free speech that remained out of the window.

Censoring is never right never acceptable. Every form of media and art always has to be offered the way the creator intended to.

    • “Little free speech that remained”?

Pardon me if this sounds rude, but that sounds awfully like one of those “first-world problem” statements. You have no idea whatsoever what it truly means to have little to no free speech.

If you think censoring a feature where you bathe little underage girls as a form of pleasure is taking away free speech, I don’t know what to tell you.

      • Nemesis_Dawn

While I do agree that his “little free speech that remained” line is hyperbole, I do have to say that this IS taking away free speech. Is it on the same level as shooting a reporter because he exposed war crimes? Of course not. But it is removing something on the basis that some might be offended by it. That is censorship. That is an erosion of free speech, even if it’s a small erosion.

It is a shame they felt the need to alter a product in that manner. It is 2012. We should be beyond such ridiculous attempts to “protect” us. Do you really think there would be anything resembling an outcry against this game if it shipped uncensored? Maybe a couple dozen people would boycott it, at most. It’s not going to get the Fox News coverage that Mass Effect did. It’s not going to even register on most people’s radars because they already think of loli’s as being creepy. So why not leave it in? Or make optional DLC that locks or unlocks it?

Just cutting something out to avoid offending the masses that won’t even care in the first place should never be seen in a positive light.

        • Pang Chee Jie

Unless you’ve done extensive research to back your claims, I think you should just stick to speaking for yourself. A very influential mother/father may catch her/his son playing the game and they might decide to do what they think is ‘right’. Anything and everything can happen, dear sir/madam. CrazyO wouldn’t know what lack of free speech even if it hit him in the face. I live in a country where insulting my leader could lead to policemen barging though my front door. Sure, censorship is bad but we as civil human beings should learn to be tolerant, despite freedom of speech being our right(not for me though).

          • Crazy_O

Not complainig because somewhere else in the world people have it worse… What kind of arguement is this…

          • Pang Chee Jie

I would reply to you if your sentence wasn’t so vague and incoherent. I’m not insulting you or anything. Your sentence just makes no sense.

          • Nemesis_Dawn

What extensive research are you exactly suggesting I do for a hypothetical situation? Are you familiar with the American media? I am sorry that you live in such an oppressive state. It is truly tragic that you have to deal with that. But there is absolutely no chance of this game creating a huge public outcry in America. None. It’s not high-profile enough. It’s not something that anyone is going to write their local newspaper or Congressman about. Just as nobody said anything about Neptunia in the mainstream media, nor about Record of Agarest war, nor about Ar Tonelico, all of which could have potentially generated controversy IF they were higher profile titles, which they are not. They are niche titles for a niche audience who expects/approves of this sort of thing.

And to elaborate on what Crazy O said that you claim to not understand…you are comparing, as we say, apples and oranges when you compare your country to ours. Yes, you are oppressed. However, that does not mean it is right for censorship to happen in America. Crazy O’s first statement I completely see as hyperbole but his second…I agree with him. A woman in Afghanistan would be stoned to death for wearing the same outfit, say, Etna wears in the Disgaea series. That does not mean that the outfit should be censored in America. Two different things.

So, it is not a sensible argument to say that things are worse in other countries so we shouldn’t mind censorship of art. Any censorship should be spoken against, period.

          • Emily Jackson

They’ll probably say something about it thanks for the act En-Masse pulled with TERA.

And there were low-rated reviews from gamspot about Neptuinia. But that’s because the website is filled with a bunch of “western only japanese games suck” moral elitist nuts who even think Atelier Meruru was the devil!

People are ridiculous and sadly game-review sites can be the same too with this bias behaviors. Their literally giving low-scores not because the game is bad necessarily, but because they don’t like some of the ‘features’ in the game.

          • Pang Chee Jie

The fact that the game was censored to this degree shows that it’s on a different level than HDN or AT. Hypothetical or not, I don’t think one should try to predict the future. Like I said in my previous post, shit can happen. The term “being at the wrong place at the right time” comes to mind. However, if you firmly believe that there is zero chance of this type of game sparking a public outcry, then I guess I’ll just have to deal with it. It most probably won’t, but the thing about the future is that nothing is 100% predictable.

I wasn’t comparing anything. I was making a general statement that we as  humans should learn how to adapt to various situations. That’s what us humans are known for, right? Many people these days moan and whine about censorship and they always play the ‘Human Rights’ card. Yes, everyone is entitled to freedom of speech but what happened to good old moral values such as toleration or moderation. What happened to putting yourself before others? Is it really that hard to understand why companies censor media?  However, several companies do go overboard with censorship ala 4kids and companies like that deserve to be spoken against.

“Any censorship should be spoken against, period.”
I’m going to have to disagree with your opinion here. Any censorship can be spoken against but it should only be done given the right circumstances.

        • SirRichard

Yes, taking away your ability to bathe little girls is taking away free speech.

No harm, mate, but I simply don’t follow you on that one. And plus, why do you automatically assume that NISA are doing it to “protect” anyone? Have you ever considered that, maybe, just maybe, the game wouldn’t be allowed to be released at all with that content in there? NISA in all likelihood have to take it out if they want the ESRB to pass it at all, the game’s final rating doesn’t mean anything in that regard.

You’re like those people that get up in arms because Ghostlight cut part of the massaging minigame in Agarest 2; specifically, you can’t play it with the little girl character (and for good reason). And they were very honest about why; the PEGI refused to classify the game if that content wasn’t removed, no compromises. Ghostlight even went to the trouble of readjusting the game’s relationship values for that character to accommodate the change, and people still shrieked about the dirty, evil censorship of a tiny, inconsequential part of the game.

Funnily enough, it’s only when this sort of content is cut that I see people come out of the woodworks to decry the removal. Where were you when they deliberately censored Joker’s Fatality in Mortal Kombat VS DC to get a T rating so younger people could buy it?  Where were any of you when Manhunt 2 got banned? For all your talk of free speech, you people never care about the likes of Germany and Australia, or even worse off places like Brazil.

Not everything is done to appease Fox News and crazy mums, mate.

          • Nemesis_Dawn

I didn’t buy Mortal Kombat vs. DC because I hated the series at the time, but I agree that caving to DC’s wishes for a lack of blood was ridiculous. I didn’t buy Manhunt 2 BECAUSE it was censored, so there’s that.

And as for Germany and Australia…I live in the United States. I fight my battles here. The people of those countries need to be the ones to stand up for themselves and vote with their wallets and their actual votes. It’s not my job to change what happens in other countries. Just like I wouldn’t want people coming to America to change things here, it is none of my business the things that happen elsewhere.
And NISA announced the censorship when they first announced the game. It isn’t like they took it to the ESRB, were told they’d be refused certification, and then decided to censor things. The very first announcement of the game carried the dark shadow of censorship with it.

          • SirRichard

Thing is, you say in your other comment “Any censorship should be spoken against, period.” but you’re not exactly practising what you preach, are you? What you’re saying is that you don’t care what happens elsewhere, as long as you get what you want, and that’s a very problematic attitude to have.

Except we don’t know that. Publishers often present their stuff to the ESRB/PEGI/any rating board months ahead of release and sometimes before it’s even been announced. In fact, a lot of games are revealed early by rating boards throwing up a certification on their site. For all we know, they did get refused certification or asked if they could get it through but were rejected.

And even if they didn’t take it to the ESRB first, that means they foresaw problems with them over that part of the game. It’s a very small part of the game, it loses nothing to cut it, so they likely cut it to save themselves a lot of hassle down the line. I don’t see you’d get upset over it anyway (“dark shadow of censorship”? Really?), the game neither gains nor loses anything with the content in or out. And as you say, it’s a niche game with a small audience, this censorship won’t have an effect on anything.

There’s a time and place to stand up for freedom of speech and expression, and this is neither.

      • Emily Jackson

The problem with this is that it’s becoming more and more frequent to censor things just to censor them to please people who have a PROBLEM of separating reality from fiction and want gaming and entertainment to stay in a uniform mundane box. We’ve seen from TERA entire models get censored because of their face and height from an anti-anime SWTOR/WOW fanbase catering type company. And those characters had bellies. If you post Etna Diseaga they’ll try to remove it exclusively. Followed by idiotic hate posts from the local gaming idiots that infested that game.

Now Mugen has kept it where you can still see the stomach on one of the characters. Yes, censoring the product does take away from the consumer who is buying it expecting a full product that they paid for. It isn’t just the games they attack simple things like media too, anything now. Imagine CHOBITS being censored to death? It just wouldn’t be the same like it was when it came out.

The game being rated T means it’s going to be chopped up and down like no tomorrow. As for your “little underage girls” Ishaan your one of the thought-type examples as why censoring continues to occur. People keep placing real-life inside the realm of fiction and it’s taking away from the consumer’s freedom of speech at the same time.

I wonder if it’ll be considered “little underage girls” if someone takes clothes off a doll and bathes it in water too? Both game and doll product are fake(because face it, NONE of these characters exist, someone made it up). but they’ll be moral extremist nuts out there that think the doll is a “little underage girl” too and demand that the doll gets censored. I don’t care for someone’s fictional character they made up and it’s a mockery to REAL beings in the REAL world that folks are more worried about a video-game than the horrible mutilation done to females where their basically told their bodies are voodoo and they end up getting mutilated because the female body is considered evil. How does censoring some dude’s game help them? It doesn’t. What a false sense of morality and justice.

It makes me wonder if people wanting censorship have a hard time dealing with the reality when they have a baby and have to do things like changing diapers which is unavoidable and simply facts of everyday life.

        • (sorry this reply took a while; it was busy day)

See, this isn’t about censorship or protecting kids or giving in to prudists or whatever, in my mind. It’s just about something being in bad taste. Bathing little girls is kind of creepy, and that’s the full extent of it, the way I see it. It adds nothing positive to the game and it takes nothing away from it if removed.
It has nothing to do with real life either, IMO. It’s just creepy, plain and simple. There are ways to do fanservice without making it creepy. There are ways to make it genuinely sensual (certain eroge) or just “sexy” (Dead or Alive) or even funny (Senran Kagura). But this isn’t any of those.

It just gives me a really creepy vibe, fictitious or not, and while I do love Japanese games like many others here, I don’t think it’s right or productive to encourage this sort of thing.

In fact, it’s bad for Japanese developers the more they grow to rely on this sort of thing, because it means their talent is being valued less than their fanservice is. Nothing good lies at the end of that road.

        • Barrit

I actually know guys who have daughters and let their wives handle the baby changing/bathing, because they feel weird doing it.. I just don’t get that at all. That is just scary.

On topic though, I’m confused why we are even getting the bath sponge and washcloth if that part is getting cut?? It’s like “here buddy, some limited edition items to a part of a game you will never see” lol. I think those items are just dumb, but I do like artbooks.

I watch a lot of anime so maybe I’m just use to the loli characters. I just see these game characters as young anime girls. I don’t relate them directly to real life.. as the huge eyes, the way they act, etc. just doesn’t match up to the real life counterparts.

I just don’t get the big uproar personally, but whatever, I do hate censorship regardless if it is sexual content or violence. I do want to play this game, but it makes me wary if I should get it or not since I don’t want to send the message to NISA that I support this censoring. I don’t want censoring to become a habit down the line.

Then the whole changing one of Chou-Chou’s personality thing.. ugh. I don’t know where to begin on that one.

      • xavier axol

the poor guy just want to bathe lolis, give him a break!. lol (^v^)

      • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Before we continue in this tsunami of debate…is there any documentation as to what exactly is being censored?

I was guessing the bathing scenes…but does anyone know for sure?

    • bathing lolis is a privilege

      • xavier axol

but i want to bathe lolis, now what am i suppose to do?

        • Luna Kazemaru

          Dude really….

          • xavier axol

ofcourse not!!, it was a joke. i tend to go for older women, the older the better ( just like a fine wine). Lol XD

          • Luna Kazemaru

God because you was close to getting blasted by everyone

          • Nemesis_Dawn

Soooo…are there nude Betty White posters on your wall?

    • I don’t think the problem is that they took out the parts where you give baths to loli demons

I think the problem is that there was a part where you give baths to loli demons in the first place

  • FX102A

I caved in, what clinched it was that tracked shipping (limited editions almost ALWAYS go out of stock before release and I fear it loosing in transit; it has happened) was $40 regardless of which version. Rather have it as <30% of the total rather than 40%.

    • FX102A

And now I’m feeling the onset of buyer’s remorse. Those figures better be worth the extra £20.

      •  Nendoroid Petite figures are high quality and one of the best I’ve found in their size.
If you decide you don’t want them you could always sell them for profit. (I had to pay quite a bit more than the retail price for the LE set of Neptunia mk2 second hand ><)

  • Is you-know-who in this game? I’m pretty much done with Moe-blob games, but to keep me interested all they have to do is have Her in the game…

Have they released a Voice Cast List at all yet?

  • Asuna Ilano

september huh? still have time to save money ^^

  • TheInternetNomad

cool, glad we actually get the nendoroid this time. disgaea 4 north american special edition was crap

  • Silver Citizen

They’re trying to distract us from the fact the game is censored, in some way.
    Kinda. >_>
It’s a very tempting set but $100? I wonder if I can pull this off. Well, it comes out a few days after my birthday so there is hope.

  • And who said “America don’t get anything”?

To everyone who picks this up, I hope you enjoy it with a grin as big as the Cheshire cat – I know I would. This deal appears to be more value for your money than the Ni no Kuni: Wizard Edition.

The game is looking interesting and will enjoy my standard edition. :D

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

…………The shampoo sponge there looks cute lol.^^ And this time? we also get Nendroid? It seems this pre-order is worth the money then.^^

  • kroufonz

finally a neeeennnndooooooooo in NISA LE!

    love you NISA!

  • r0gamer940

guys did you notice the T rating on the game box?

    • Raharu95

Oh dear you are right. Makes you wonder how heavy was Nisa’s censorship

  • Raharu95

… Something tells me the sponge is a compensation for something… Knowing that this gameis a bit censored, I’m a bit afraid to find out just how much censored it is.

  • Code

Honestly I was curious about this game when it was announced Harada was working on it, as he’s one of my favorite artist, but this game went way under my radar afterwards. Honestly have no idea if it’s any good or not, I kind of like the notion of a Disgaea-esque JRPG though, but it’s also Compile Heart which I usually don’t enjoy >3<; So torn~!!

    •  Listen to your heart~ (◠‿◠)

    • Luna Kazemaru

If you want to see the game look up lennevalkyrie on youtube she is one of my livestream friends and did a playing of it. So if you want to see how it plays out go for it.

      • Code

Awesome thanks for the heads up, even watching a little will probably tell me what I need to know >w<~

  • Deathgod881

They censor games like these yet theres worser stuff on tv that gets approval and put on there like what the hell man? Stupid just plain old stupid…. makes you question the people at the top. Anyway i’ll be getting this.

    • xavier axol

i feel that censorship is always related with sexual content, but people are fine with violence (weird uh).

  • SupaPhly

    aaaaaaand preordered!

  • Nitraion

ah another 100$ special edition :(
    it’s beyond my ability….

  • Renzouri

Preordered! I like how NIS America localizes niche games and will continue to support them~ I’m eagerly awaiting Black Rock Shooter for PSP, NISA!

It seems like hand towels are slowly becoming a limited edition freebie favourite (ie. Record of Agarest War 2)

    • Kai2591

Hopefully the localized Black Rock Shooter will include the White Rock Shooter figma~

  • Luna Kazemaru

Can we not start this talk of this censor or lol loli crap please. If you are upset about it get the Japanese version like i did. Its not even that big of a deal its not hurting gameplay for you all at all. I hate censoring as much as the next person and fimd how oth the west and east pick how they censor things to be odd but this rigbt here you need to pick your battles right. @SirRichard basically had a point its funny how everyone goes up in arms about this game yet where not around any other time.

No lets just drop the censor talk and move on. Want to buy the game go on and buy it. Not going to then move on your marry way. Its annoying to the comments always plaged with comments that do nothing but circle jerk with each other with no end.

  • Kai2591

awww yeaah they’re finally bringing in nendoroids~
    Thanks NISA!

  • amagidyne

Harada’s cover art makes this look like a mockbuster of Disgaea. Sneaky.

  • Okay, I see plenty comments about mad creepiness here, but does anybody know if the actual part where you play the game is decent? I can’t always get behind everything the niche publishers release & some I buy on a whim if it’s cheap enough. However, releasing Aksys releasing Hakouki definitely takes balls & I may pick it up because I don’t expect people to bring that stuff over. Anyway, I’m getting off topic. This Mugen Souls? I’m not sure.
Also, if I hear good things about it, (in the big tree of RPGs, where does it stand? I’m talking about all types, because I don’t really care where a game comes from if it’s good) I may look into it but I know every game doesn’t come with a demo unfortunately & there’s no rental stores near me, but I tend to be weary about NISA games not made by NIS.

Oh & some of the Gust games (The Ar Tonelico series has nice music, even though there seems to be some creepy hilarious pervy stuff in there, however, I guess some Japanese developers must have some loyal ass creepotakus that buy their games I guess. I haven’t played them yet, but I think Galgun is hilarious even though I don’t think I’m the creepotaku the game is marketed towards.) are good too, but I haven’t checked out the Arland trilogy yet.

  • MrSirFeatherFang

Welp, can’t do anything about this censoring. Still getting the $100 limited edition. I’m pretty sure NISA knows about how their fans feel, but it seems like without this censoring the game couldn’t have come here at all :(

    • artemisthemp

MrSirFeatherFang NISA have said they could bring it to US, but it’s rating would be AO.

Don’t understand why NISA need AO, when Aksys only need to put Mature.

Note: Limited Edition + Figure Set for me.

      • MrSirFeatherFang

Well thanks, I didn’t know that. I went to the NISA forums and someone had said that without the censoring it couldn’t come here. Looks like I should’ve kept reading more about the issue. Sorry :(

  • veruses

I’ll skip on the Nendoroids since I already have them from the Japanese LE release. What’s the point in throwing $35 more for another pair? Think it’s standard for me this time for a first from nisa.

I’m sure someone else wants it more.

  • Just to clarify, ratings aren’t a sliding bar. In MPAA standards, take a movie that is otherwise “acceptable” and would garner a PG rating. Now, add two F-bombs to it. Guess what? Now it’s rated R!

Remove those two F-bombs? It doesn’t “slide” down to PG-13, it goes to PG because the content responsible for the R is gone, and what remains is fairly clean.

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

You can just watch the censored bath scenes on youtube so I don’t think it’s a big deal they’re being omitted from the western release.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

Wait I just thought about you’re post

      >on youtube
      >bath scenes
      >BATH SCENES!!!!!

I seemingly like Youtube more than ever before lol

  • So happy to see this! Already pre-ordered. Thank you NISA =^_^=

  • Vaporeon23

I will be buying the $65 Limited Edition. I can’t justify paying extra money to leave the figurines inside the box. I’m glad NISA are bringing over the Nendoroids for others who are in love with them though. ^.^
