Zone of the Enders HD Collection Trailer And Screenshots Ready For Takeoff

By Ishaan . July 13, 2012 . 10:20am

Konami released a new trailer for Zone of the Enders HD Collection this morning, along with a batch of new screenshots as well. The “trailer” actually seems to be the opening movie for Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. You can take a look at both below:

Zone of the Enders HD Collection is scheduled for release this fall. The collection will come with a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Does anyone know if the Vita version is still in the works?

    • Solomon_Kano

Considering that they kept quiet on MGS HD for Vita til it was out on consoles, we’re probably going to see the same thing here. I highly doubt they’d cancel it with the game already known to have Transfarring support, so we’ll just have to play the waiting game.

If the timeline follows MGS, we’ll see the Vita version at about this time next year (though I’d love if it were sooner).

from what i seen, i guess i will mute my tv and play zone of enders. anyway what about the vita? will it also be release along the ps3 version? will it support cloud save? and if i buy them both, do i get a discount? can’t wait. XD

  • Cephrien

Yeah. This is just the opening to ZOE2.

    Oh well.

    • xavier axol

well it sucks, i feel like my hears were bleeding. i mean come on! it sound like people were been tortured and scream while been chuck. it sounded painful. x-( can’t wait to play it while in mute, i will also get the vita version.

opinions. I actually like the opening song a lot, it’s not your typical j-pop song.

        • Asura

I think most people like the opening song for that exact reason. Guy above was complaining about the dub, which is bearable, but could be better. I dunno how the Japanese dub sounds though, for all I know it could be worse. Wouldn’t be the first time. Many Jap dubs are as awful as the English counterparts.

          • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Many Japanese dubs are as awful as English counterparts???

Not trying to troll here, but i had never been dissapointed here playing most of my games in Japanese dub though?

          • http://www.facebook.com/Robosham Ronnie Celeski

Maybe that’s because you don’t speak japanese and can’t tell the difference.

          • WyattEpp

@facebook-1848981814:disqus Ah, but I can.  I can, and the differences are obvious.  If you also understand it, then I’m astonished you’d take a stance even resembling an implication like “the original dubs are often as bad as the English versions”.*

It’s not that it’s English.  It’s usually not a matter of translation.  It’s not even bad casting in a lot of cases.  The problem is the direction for a lot of English dubs just plain sucks.

            * Not verbatim; it’s implied by the tone of your writing.

and also lol for the mgs demo, its like travelling back in time

  • veruses

Great gameplay. I just think the story is really forgettable to have a 7 minute trailer.

    No exact date yet?

  • Domii

Damn I really gotta finish ZOE2. Time to dust off my ps2 soon.

  • ハボック バスター

Great it’s not redubbed. BOOOOOOO! But I’m still gonna buy it.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/PZFYUAI2EUXCNI7GSYCOHCTNDQ do mo

why the hell would it be ? lol

some people on here truely have no clue….

      • Asura

Because the original dub isn’t that great. Basically all the voices have only one pitch to them no matter what the emotion, and if they stray from that even a little it ends up sounding just awful.

  • sakushi

    Lovly..
    geting for PS3 + Vita.

    must buy for me.. :D

  • IshimaruKaito

should i get this game??? and for what system??

    • neocatzon

See on the top of this post. PS3, 360, and might be VITA.

If you want to see two of the best action mecha game ever made, yes. Better see some gameplay vids on youtube first if you still have a doubt.

I’m kinda worried about the vita version… I hope there IS a vita version.

    • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

I’m sure the Vita version’s fine. Unlike MGS HD, they’ve been quiet about the console versions of ZOE, too, so I suspect they’ll begin talking about the Vita version once those are out.

  • Sperium3000

Unlike the majority, I’m not one of those who bought the first Z.O.E for the MGS2 demo, but later I got to play Z.O.E 2 and became a fan of the series. I’m definitely getting this HD collection, and I’m looking forwards to news about Z.O.E 3.

  • Solomon_Kano

Ah, I can’t wait to have Jehuty in HD! I loved ZOE2 enough that I’m willing to double dip for Vita as well, Transfarring or no.

This series didn’t get the support it deserved the first time around largely due to poor release timing, hopefully it gets its shine now. Especially with KojiPro working on the next ZOE. Excite!

  • Göran Isacson

Man do I ever hope that we can pick between languages. The English dub sounds kiiind of rushed and unemotive. Can’t take away the awesome intro-song in it’s made up imagination-language though… think I’m just gonna Youtube that sucker up and listen to it.

    • LynxAmali

For which game, if you mind me asking?

I’ve always had issues with the first game’s dub as it did indeed feel rushed. Part of me wishes this’ll be a redub but the odds are slim. At the same time, I liked it. It reminded me of the old time of terribly dubbed mecha anime early on when anime was finding footing in foreign markets.

The second vastly improved on the dubbing. Sort of like the transition from older anime to modern/ late 90s dubbing.

Still can’t over Radam from the first game.
      This isn’t Tekkaman Blade.
      It’s pronounced RA-DI-UM Le-vans.
At least, according to the OVA.

      • Göran Isacson

Essentially, the one heard in this trailer. They just sound really disinterested and flat in their delivery.

      • MoriyaMug

The second one needs a total retranslation. It has one of the worst English scripts I’ve encountered. This is primarily just a redone version of the trailer on the original PS2 disc of ZOE2. I wish I could get them to let me at it. Same actors would be fine, but the script makes everything sound like they’re talking in non-sequiturs.

        • LynxAmali

It is the same trailer. The exact same trailer, albeit with slightly different footage.

          So yeah….

  • Skyrius

HNNNGH THOSE SCREENS. THOSE DELICIOUS HD SCREENS

  • MoriyaMug

I need to beg Konami to let me at that script before this thing sees release. The SH games didn’t need retranslating. ZOE2 most assuredly does. :P
