Mega Man 2 Blasts To 3DS Virtual Console In Japan Next Week

NES/Famicom game support for the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan is ramping up. Next on the schedule is Mega Man 2, originally released in 1988. The game has eight new Robot Masters—Metal Man, Air Man, Bubble Man, Quick Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Heat Man, and Wood Man.


Mega Man 2 will be released on August 8th for 500 yen.

      You can get the Mega Man Collection for GC/PS2 for the price of this, and it has all eight games.

      • But is it handheld? That’s a reason I would double dip (but I”m not)
        And yeah the collection is great.

      Em…the game was already localised on the NES. So a release of the NA version outside Japan is very likely.

    1988? Damn, I always get nostalgic when release dates are remembered. I don’t think I played this when I was 5, but I do remember I never beat it. I always ran out of Bubbles on the last boss.
