  • Oh boy, the PC elitists are gonna have a field day with this.

    • Paradox me

Well, it is nice when your platform of choice is properly supported. :P

  • MrKappa

If my computer were not a cardboard box with toaster parts inside I would buy games like these on PC but alas.

  • No directx 9 means no windows xp…oh well console version it is then.

    •  I don’t see this game appearing on the Playstation 2 either.

      • I don’t see the ps2 running the same hardware as a ps3 either, or not being 10x weaker than it.

I also don’t see 99.99% of all pc games not having dx 9 either since, you know, the x360 is essentially running on dx9.

What a hilariously irrelevent reply which, I’m sure, you believed to be incredibly clever; now go bother someone else with your ignorant comments.

        • Cute kid, sorry I was just trying to have some fun? But really, I don’t see why you wouldn’t move up to Windows 7 regardless. It wasn’t even that bad or ignorant of a joke, it isn’t so much that the hardware is out of date on such a machine as the software is. Also where as this game says DX10 minimum it probably will include DX9 anyway, I’ve run into three or four games in the past year that have said that and had a DX9 option anyway so don’t get your panties in a bunch. Sheesh.

On console you’ll pretty much be playing the Low/Medium DX9 equivalent that you would on your XP machine anyway most likely, so more power to you.

          • Please refrain from calling me ‘kid’, not only is it condescending, but if your facebook profile is any indication you aren’t even in your 20’s yet…unless you failed a couple high school years.

Moving up to windows #anything would put me out of comission for days, which is unacceptable because I need my machine for work.

And as for your “panties in a bunch comment”, I clearly said “oh well console it is then”, as in: “ok whatever, moving on.”
Everything else is just me responding to your incredibly unclever post.

And no Sleeping dogs pc will not support xp or dx9 at all.

Smells like just the usual picture that looks prettier, no actual changes to the gameplay besides being able to remap buttons.

Hopefully they’ll have a demo released on steam so i can see if my laptop can run it at a playable state.

No surprises, most games with PC releases will look better on the PC so long as you have the hardware to run it. As for the Directx stuff, pc gamers who buy these games are all running windows 7, gamers don’t buy the latest cards and still use xp, defeats the point of having a directx 11 card so not officially supporting win xp is hardly surprising.
