As previously reported, after a number of delays, Nitroplus’ Xbox 360 remake of Phantom of Inferno is scheduled for release this October in Japan. This morning, Nitroplus released an “image movie” of the game to promote it:

Phantom of Inferno will be released on October 25th. The game will have a new voice track, and an updated story inspired by the 2010 anime series produced by Bee Train.

phantom anime/series would make a pretty badass 3rd person shooter video game

I remember watching about half of the anime for this and then stopping randomly. Didn’t realise they were remaking the game.

Just started watching the anime yesterday. Had no idea there was a visual novel o.o

  • The original visual novel got released here in an weird interactive DVD without the sex scenes. I’d love to get this version somehow but I doubt we’ll ever see it. Shame since the anime was great.

  • I love the anime except the ending, I wish they would follow the happy end in game for ein route… but oh well.

Love the classical remix, I think EVA had a scene that used it too..  haven’t played the DVD game or watched the anime before, but pre-ordered this, hope it’s as good as everyone says (the Ever 17 remake should’ve used art like this, instead it was ruined by really crappy 3D).. still have tons of VNs on backlog though… need to finish Robotics;Notes before the anime airs, but I’m not even half way done :(…

I played the USA DVD Version last week, and I loved it. It would be great to play this remake too, someday. Too bad it will never happen.

I’ll watch the anime as soon as possible.
