By Ishaan . August 27, 2012 . 8:40am

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires has been delayed, Tecmo Koei announced today. Originally scheduled for release in September, the game is now going to be released on November 8th. Tecmo Koei say the reason behind the delay is that they’re trying to up the quality of the game.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires adds Xu Shu as a playable character and also adds Nobunyaga Oda, a cat-version of the famed warlord. He’s in the game as a pre-order bonus and comes with first print copies of the game.

Nyyyoooooo? That was a teerible cat pun but mind’s blank right now XD.
kinda half expected it since details of the game has been quite low. Won’t effect overseas release much tbh though, seeing as there’s no release date for that. I guess this will may come out in 2013 overseas :/

    Hmm? what’s this XD
this is first time DW games piqued my interest XD
man 3 weeks sure have some crazy stuff

  • Oh well, I’d rather they spend more time on making it good/even better than rushing it. Still looking forward to it and hoping for a localization at some point

They already announced it for NA.

    • They already announced a PSN download only NA release. No news on EU.

      • If the past is anything to go by, Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires will be released on Blu-ray Disc in Europe, just like Warriors Orochi 3.

And if you want more certainty, take a look at One Piece: Pirate Warriors and, even though it’s no Tecmo Koei title, Way of the Samurai 4, which will all be released on Blu-ray Disc in Europe.

With this whole “SCEA is putting full Japanese games on PSN because there is no English dub on the disc” fiasco, I am glad I live in Europe! ^^

But then again, Americans who prefer physical copies of all these games can always import…

        • Oh, I know. But I doubt the DLC that I already have downloaded would work the EU’s disc version. (All the DLC from the previous two will work with Empires. Yay~ saves money! Bc everyone knows that DLC are expensive.) lol, so I have to settle with the US PSN DL-only Empires.

  • Pre-order, huh. Will this be released at a noticeably low price, like Xtreme Legends? (At least from what I noticed with the EU version.) And will there be any disc-swap features with the main disc?

They being jerks towards to the Xbox360 community, I for one own a Xbox360 and not a PS3 (for reasons such as PS3 had a lack of safety software from hackers and were exploited) But even so even if I did have a PS3 it is still bad to the point that Koei is not letting it become an Xbox360 platform as well, like the last Empires (Dynasty Warriors six empires) I am a huge Koei fan but this just ruins the hole collection of Koei games I own, I can tell that there will more people within the Xbox360 community that feels like I do, or not. If they want to be jerk’s and cut there profit to only PS3 then its there loss. When a company focus only on one console, they are tempting fire and may get burnt if they are not care full.
