By Ishaan . August 28, 2012 . 4:10pm

There’s a new Taiko no Tatsujin headed to the Wii. This week’s Famitsu magazine (via: Sinobi) reports that Taiko no Tatsujin: Super Splendid Edition will have 100 songs, which is an unprecedented number for the series.

The game will also have some sort of collaboration with Dragon Quest, Hatsune Miku and Doraemon, although Famitsu don’t provide any details on these.

Finally, there are also over 30 mini-games included. Taiko no Tatsujin: Super Splendid Edition will be released on November 29th.

I love these games, but we only got one for PS2 a long time ago. I want more of them.

And it was mostly cover versions of US Pop songs ._.

I love Taiko. Can’t wait for a Vita game. Will be awesome.

Exciting, more songs + Miku is always welcome!
I want to get a TataCon but obviously shipping is expensive for official ones.  Also a bit big to bring back in my bag from Japan the next time I go.  I will probably get a ‘generic’ one from DealExtreme.

Gosh darnit, region lock, I totally want this! ;-; Heaven knows it wouldn’t release here, not with that many songs, at least. Taiko is such a fun, cute, feel-good rhythm game. I love it.

Just soft mod your Wii and import, it’s pretty simple.

I remember an old arcade near where I live used to have an imported Taiko Machine. That game was really fun, and I played it almost as much as I played Pump It Up. Too bad they closed down, Pump it Up is (relatively) easy to find in arcades, but Taiko…not so much.
