Rowan is pretty much my most favorite mage in the entire Tales series for 2 reasons:

    1) He specializes in water spells
    2) He’s a badass grandpa

  • Ahhh! So hyped!

  • Looks fun.

Also, official art for Jude and Ludger’s other form. Apparently the ‘other form’ (called Corpse Shell) runs in the family.

    • Masengan

      I think he looks cooler.

Wow, Jude became cool over the years. Things are getting better and better. Forget the people who said Xilia sucks due to lack of content. I’d say give it a chance then wait for this awesome sequel, then judge. :v

    • Nitraion

      He like villain now lol….

i wonder what is AC  and the numbers next  to the char you controll icon stand for

  • Wow, the Tales of Xillia series can’t get localized soon enough! =^_^=

I’m loving everything I’m seeing from the game. Defiantly hyped to see how Jude (and hopefully Milla) will play and what are the changes they went through during the time-skip.

One thing that I REALLY hope they do with this game is make the returning characters feel like real characters. Unlike many fans, I actually had fun with Tales of Symphonia 2, but it’s true that the lack of leveling and minimum customizations for all of the characters that weren’t Emil, Marta, or monsters felt nerfish for the returning characters (especially since by the end, almost all of the old characters are back in your party)

If the returning Xillia characters feel like real characters in battle, even if the story isn’t about them as much, it’ll be a big improvement.

I wonder if they’re going to be re-adjusting the multiplayer system. In the last game you can’t seem to link yourself with a human controlled character without your teammate losing control, as the ‘slave’ effectively has unique follow-up attacks that activate only under a linked condition (not to mention other numerous boosts), making a four (manual) player battle somehow less efficient in terms of functionality. Though playing with one friend is definitely viable so long as he/she knows what he’s doing, as the newer system can be a lot to take in at first.

Ludger’s looking really versatile. Looks like players are in for a slightly higher learning curve. XD

    •  they won’t make it that way Hideo Baba personally told me why
Its because it would ruin the link system since players would not neccessarily help the other player

      • Nikolai Sumcad

Though the most enjoyable Tales moments, I’ve had with friends all scrambling about trying to keep each other alive within the item (Life Bottle) time limit and the one healer trying to cast Resurrection on a member. But of course I definitely see how it would impair the link system. A four manual player battle would mean not charging up the Link Gauge at all.

  • Why arent they saying each other name when they do a link arte….
