Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert’s next game, The Cave, is headed to the PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, but also to the Wii U, according to a Joystiq report.

The Cave is a side-scrolling adventure game that Gilbert has had conceptualized for several years. Gilbert, who has been working at Tim Schafer’s Double Fine Productions since 2010, originally joined the company to work on this title.

The Cave will allow you to play as seven different characters, and involves descending into and exploring a cave as the title suggests. You can watch a trailer for the game here. It’s being published by Sega.

I have been pretty interested in this game since I saw it shown at E3.
Nice to see it get a release on the Wii U.

I’ll still be picking it up for the ps3 though xD

Well spank a goat, this might be enough to convince me to get a Wii U.  Damn.

A multi-platform downloadable game that’s already coming to PS3, 360 and PC would be what pushes you over the edge to get a Wii U?  Nothing against Wii U or The Cave, but that’s a pretty odd system seller.
