Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Dreamy Theater Extend is right around the corner. The PlayStation 3 app will be released next week, and will allow you to play your copy of Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend with high-res art made for HD TVs. Here’s some footage (via: Game Jouhou) of the app, to give you an idea of what it looks like:

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Dreamy Theater Extend will be released on September 13th for 3,900 yen ($50). The app will also support stereoscopic 3D display on 3D TVs. You will require a copy of Project Diva Extend on PSP for the app to work.

  • Glad I still got tons of yen from when I was planning to buy the other PD for my vita but got screwed over by not being able to use multiple accounts. >_>

Whoa. Best Dreamy Theater version of all~ The only main visual differences between this, and Arcade is that the Arcade is running on a PC-like graphics chip within the arcade machine. I feel like the PS3 version makes the flaws of the models more noticeable to be honest, but this really does look awesome.

    Looks like new hair physics.

  • Awesome! =^_^=

Is there a reason why they don’t release these as stand-alone games?

Presumably because they’ll get more money if they make you buy this and the PSP game.

Fans are unlikely to care that much about the cost, so it’s good enough for them.

  • I just wish they didn’t cost so much. If it were its own release and didnt require the PSP game I could justify its price far easier.

Also wish Id known about this sooner. Now I wont be able to afford it until Xmas time. :(
