Not really, this game was announced around the systems launch.

I bought the vita day one i saw potential in the system. I agree with Liam Tasker, the vita is picking up speed and i’m excited to see where it’s headed.

Is this game related to Trails in the Sky? I haven’t beaten that game yet, but this looks pretty interesting.

Though, if you guys don’t mind me saying, the mouth-movements kinda remind me of P4A, and there’s an “All-Out Attack,” too! XD

It is a sequel of sorts to Trails in the Sky. A new cast, but still takes place in the same world and has some relations to prior events in the series, AFAIK. The issue is that according to people who played it, there’s little point in releasing “Trails of Zero” if Trails in the Sky Second Chapter AND the 3rd are not released in English, and considering how hard XSEED has it right now getting SC out, I’d say chances aren’t so good we’ll ever get our hands on this one.

Also, “Trails of Zero” was released back on the PSP, and even had a sequel to it too, called “Trails of Blue”. This is an enhanced port, however, with improved graphics, full voice, a completely rearranged soundtrack and stuff. Definitely worth it, so if by some miracle XSEED ever manages to bring all of them to the west, I guess it’s a good thing this version is coming out! :)

It’s still important to play the trilogy before going to Zero. When you look at the bigger picture in the plot of Zero and Ao no Kiseki (secuel) you will notice that their relantionship with the previous titles are strong. Aside from having some important character appearing and help them in some “special” situation.

But I still have faith that they will realese this version of Zero Evolution in Vita and maybe then will have an Ao no Kiseki evolution too.

Not until they finish the other two games before it, though. :(

I like how the character move their lips when talking, they improve that too. This game is a must buy for any RPG fan who wants a really good plot and want to have fun doing interesting quest while enjoying a game 50+ hour long

this vids made me want to get this game .
damn i really hope xseed manages to localise the sequel of the first game , at least digitally.

  • Domii

Wow, this doesn’t look bad at all.

This and Persona 4 makes me want a Vita. Is there any chance of this being released outside of Japan?

Trails of Zero has quite a lot of references to the events in Trails in the Sky, especially the aftermaths of Second Chapter and The Third.
