Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition is due out on September 16th and North America, and Nintendo have begun running TV commercials for it… like this one:

Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition contains the following games:

  1. Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy)
  2. Kirby’s Adventure (NES)
  3. Kirby’s Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)
  4. Kirby Super Star (Super NES)
  5. Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (Super NES)
  6. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)

The compilation will also include a bunch of challenge stages similar to the ones in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land for Wii. It will come with a 48-page booklet and a soundtrack CD with 45 tracks.

wow this reminded me of old video game adverts for a minute there lol.

  • Zonic505

45 tracks on the CD?! Wow, they really outdid the CD with the Super Mario All-Stars LE by a long shot.

If you wanna know the track listing, you can check it out below.

  • What the *** kind of commercial is this?! XD
Man, haven’t had a laugh like this for a while. Collection look nice, I wouldn’t mind a few other Kirby games (the two GBA ones and some spinoffs), but this is nice as it is. Love the boarders.

  • Paradox me

Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on that six pack.

    The games look nice too.

  • MrJechgo

    What did I just watch O_o ?

    • Godmars

A commercial for something aimed at young children as directed by someone with a strong background in adult film who couldn’t get it all out of their system.

      Duh ;p

  • Godmars

Counting the art book and the music CD, if they add to more things it’ll be exact to the ten pack that they really showed.

And its a bad thing that I actually paused and counted the guy’s abs, isn’t it…

    •  I counted them, too; it’s really obvious that there are more than 6 abs there, so you just have to count them to make sure you’re not crazy.

  • Something tells me they could have fit more than 6 Kirby games on a Wii disc.

    • Yea, but I heard that those are the first kirby games; So you’d be fitting more 3D games on it, which I do not think they could. Plus those are “Still selling”.

      •  Actually no, Air Ride was a GameCube game, a pretty small one at that. I’m pretty sure they could fit it on the disc, but this is a main line Kirby collection, so that must be the reason why we’re missing stuff. That aside, I wouldn’t mind getting the SNES-GB-GBA games either. Spinoff games and everything. Maybe Air Ride for the 3DS. 3DS multiplayer Air Ride game would be overkill.

        • Zonic505

Air Ride on Wii U’s Virtual Console would be awesome. (they mentioned GCN games will be downloadable on Wii U). As long as I’ve got SOME way to replay it.

  • KingGunblader

I’m not a big Kirby fan, but I have very fond memories of Kirby 64… and I can just download that on VC so…

  • pimpalicious

Nightmare in Dreamland and The Amazing Mirror would have been nice.

I understand why they might want to neglect spin-offs but Kirby’s Course would’ve been awesome also.

  • Göran Isacson

Oh Nintendo. For some reason I thought that the guy with the sixpack WAS a anthropomorphic Kirby before I got over the shock and realized it was just some random buff dude. In a Kirby commercial. For… reasons.

    • theoriginaled

Actually would have been funnier if it WERE an anthropomorphic kiby <.<

  • I’m not surprised by the commercial at all. The main audience for Kirby games are teenage girls. So it makes sense they will show a shirtless man and make jokes on Kirby’s love of eating. Plus everything is pink, as it should be :)

    • puchinri

Lol, is it really? I never knew that.

  • how strange that they show that bara guy for a few seconds…lol. i suppose its okay, though. XD

  • theoriginaled

Kirby Super Star is one of the best games ever made. Period. Just throwing that out there.

  • protofox

2 game boy games, and nes game, snes and 1 n64 u know just how much extra space  they have left empty on this disk?
