Magician’s Quest: Town of Magic Will Conjure Up A Spell On Nintendo 3DS [Update]

Back in 2008, Konami published a Nintendo DS life-simulation game titled Tongari Boushi to Mahou no 365 Nichi. A year later, the game was localized in English as Magician’s Quest: Mysterious Times in North America.

Magician’s Quest was an Animal Crossing-style life-simulation title that took place at a magic academy. It used the Nintendo DS’ internal clock for events, and you could make girlfriends and boyfriends within the game, interact with villagers, and so on.

In 2010, Konami followed the game up with Magician’s Quest: The Merchant’s Store of Sorcery. Then, in 2011, they released Magician’s Quest: The Stylish Wizard. Neither game was localized, but the premise was more or less the same—you attended a magic academy as an apprentice wizard, solved problems, ran shops, and the like.

This week’s Famitsu magazine reveals that the next Magician’s Quest game is headed to the Nintendo 3DS. It’s called Magician’s Quest: Town of Magic. Retail blog, Sinobi, brings more details of the game.

Magician’s Quest: Town of Magic will have a new protagonist and new townsfolk. Famitsu also mentions  new furniture and a huge shopping mall in town. The game is currently at 70% completion.
