Namco Bandai are publishing another One Piece game this year—One Piece Romance Dawn: Adventure at Daybreak, a PSP role-playing game that’s adapted from One Piece precursor manga, Romance Dawn.

The game will feature a 3D world that you can explore, and a command-based battle system. Playable characters include Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji and Usopp. You can find a trailer for it here.

Jump magazine (via Tale Tale Source) reveals that One Piece Romance Dawn: Adventure at Daybreak will be released on December 20th in Japan.

Always thought One Piece would do a prefect RPG, everything in it points to it yet they took a lot to actually make one. Keep those Jump games coming up, no one has disappointed me yet.

There were already two RPG games for the Gameboy Color, one based on the early arcs and one loosely based on the Alabasta arc (though it ends before they actually get there).

And i hope they make a One Piece fighting game in Dissidia style too
I know that would not be very original, but even so,it would be awesome

So basically it’s the pre-Grand Line storyline huh?

I’m good with that… Oh please localize please! I’m already going to gladly buy One Piece Pirate Warriors, but this on the go would be wonderful too!

Well, Romance Dawn is slightly different, with the degree of that difference depending on the version you read, but yeah, pretty much. (One of the major differences is that Luffy’s motivations for becoming a pirate are much different). I just wonder: is it gonna be Version 1 or Version 2 that they use as the base? …My God, I know too much about One Piece.

      •  Hope you know the first arc of the final manga is called Romance Dawn too, genius. You could call it Version 3. Anyways, it looks like it will cover East Blue saga.

The article specifically says “precursor manga”, you jerk.

          • That doesn’t necessarily mean the article is correct in that point. If Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji are in the game, that basically means it’s neither of the earlier oneshots by Eiichiro Oda. The very first chapter and volume of One Piece were also titled “Romance Dawn” and so was one of the chapters after the time skip when they entered the New World, so it’s easy to get confused and make assumptions.

          • I think it’s Not the “Romance Dawn (V1,2)” manga ..Cause it didn’t feature Zoro,Sanji,Ussop (i think) and has another Girl instead of nami.

I didn’t read it and this info I remember seeing on WIKI so correct me if I’m wrong

          • Joseph Santee

Yeah, I just found out that YES, it is based off the first arc, not the prototype, and the article should be corrected to reflect this. FJ Link still didn’t need to be a jerk about it.

Looks great. Here is hoping for it to get localiz…*Shot*

      *Holding smoking gun*

DS games are barely getting localised even with surefire winners like Dragon Ball Kai Ultimate Butoden or Ace Attorney Investigations 2.

This anime PSP game doesn’t stand a chance, son.

  • “Romance Dawn”…
it can mean (and this must be the right meaning) “the Dawn of adventure story”.

some may know this, But me as English as my 2nd language I took time to know it ..I used to think (Just Imagine it) ..”the Dawn of ‘Romance’ story”
