Pokémon Colosseum developer, Genius Sonority, released an original Nintendo eShop RPG in Japan, titled Denpa Ningen no RPG. This game has now been officially confirmed for a U.S. release, and Genius will be publishing it themselves under the title The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave.

Directed by former Dragon Quest programmer, Manabu Yamana, who is also Genius Sonority’s president, The Denpa Men uses the Nintendo 3DS’ augmented reality feature to make you look around your surroundings for Denpa Men that you can recruit as party members. Then, it’s off to explore dungeons and fight a demon king.

Genius Sonority say that different kinds of Denpa Men are location-specific, and have a great number of variations in their faces, bodies, personalities and skills.

The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave will be released on September 27th for $9.99 in North America. You can watch a trailer for the game above. In Japan, a sequel to the game will be released on September 26th.
