Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile Out Today For $3 On iOS

Remember Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile? That’s out today on iOS devices (iOS 5 or higher), and Capcom are pricing it at $2.99 as a special promotional price. Here’s a trailer, with details of the game below it:

Mobile has a few differences that set it apart from the regular Street Fighter X Tekken game on consoles and PC. In Mobile, while you still get to select two characters, they function as primary and secondary fighters. Your secondary fighter is a helper with no health bar.

Instead, he/she is sort of an enhanced assist character with a timer. If he/she takes damage, the timer runs out faster, and when it depletes entirely, one final hit takes them out of the match temporarily, causing your primary character to switch back in.

Gems and Pandora Mode have been tweaked, too. Each time you hit a launcher, a “gem roulette” triggers and activates a random gem. Finally, Capcom also added the ability to remap the digital buttons. You can line them on the sides of the screen, or mimic the layout of an arcade stick.

  • Holy crap that price, not one to complain about budget price games but with the Vita version coming at 30-40$, companies really need to pay attention to how they price these iOS ports.

but you cant compare the quality of both versions, this IOS port looks awful next to the PSVITA version.

      • Yeah your right, and the content is probably bare bones as well.  Still don’t like the price gaps of these games.  Rhythm Thief for instance just came out a month or two ago (well in US) and has a “freeium” version coming.  A bit jarring but again some changes probably justified.

          where is the android versoin!?

but it’s $3 bucks. This is kind of my problem with companies like capcom and the such putting pretty much ports of full retail titles for a fraction of the price as the retail title. It feels kind of insulting to the consumer…but then again, you do get what you pay for

  • Whoa, that’s cheap! A nice price for what seems to be an entertaining game.

iOS 5? Ugh..that rules out my iPad and iPod Touch then. Apple and these companies really make it hard to own their products. Have to keep buying new versions each year?

  • Heavenly_King

how is it that IOs games are always that cheap?

Look at the amount of content it has compared to the other version, it also doesn’t look as good. I’m sure there are going to be ways for them to get more money out of players as well.
