By Ishaan . September 19, 2012 . 10:43am

Konami have announced a release date for Zone of the Enders HD Collection, which will include the original Zone of the Enders game and its sequel, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.

Originally released for the PlayStation 2, both games in the HD Collection have been updated with remastered visuals, a new opening animation, as well as up-resed versions of the original animations from the PlayStation 2 versions.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be released on October 30th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America. As previously reported, it will include a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance as well.

  • What about us Europeans? Will we get it before Halloween?

    • SirRichard

If the MGS HD Collection is any indication, we’re not seeing this until Spring 2013 at the earliest I’m afraid to say.

    • Hinataharem

      Well….you could import I guess?

We are more than happy to give you our games.

  • Chris Squeri

What about the Vita version that was announced a while ago?

    • Wait for Japan to announce the release date for it in their region then hope for the US/EU release. I expect early 2013 Japan and Spring/Summer 2013 US/EU.

Looks like the same thing they did with the MGS collection though.  Consoles first, followed by the Vita version several months later.  Was about a 7 month gap (November 2011 to June 2012) for the NA/JP version of MGS Collection.  Hopefully with the Vita having been out a while it won’t take quite as long for ZOE.

  • Ugh, October is fucking packed. Now way I can’t buy or play all these games.

  • drproton

That’s great that it has a demo for Revengeance.  I remember a lot of people bought ZOE just for the MGS2 demo.

I never got to own a copy of ZOE2 so I’m definitely picking this one up.

  • Jordan Coleman

    No collectors edition?

Either way its mine. I just would have liked a art book.

  • Jake_Indiman

I hope the emulation is better than we got in Silent Hill HD Collection. Konami really screwed up on that one. Crossing my fingers in hoping they used Mass Media, or Blue Point for the conversion.

    • Well mgs hd was brilliant in my opinion

      • Jake_Indiman

I just found out from another commenter Belenger in that the studio converting it is High Voltage Studios, who focuses a lot on Wii titles. o_0!

        •  The Wii part got to you and not the mostly mediocre games they’ve made in general?

  • Luna Kazemaru

    OMG YES!!!

  • Laith Rem

Another one going to the November pile. God that pile is looking mighty big at this point.

    • Oct./Nov. are big months.

  • The HD versions also include re-recorded voice acting, if I’m not mistaken?

    • LynxAmali

      If they do….
I hope they give us ‘Dual’ Audio.

I loved the dubs of both 1 and Second Runner. I don’t know how I’ll take to a re-record of the audio.

(Fun fact: Leo’s VA is the same for both games. He did Second Runner when he was older. I’m not kidding.)

  • Raiyu

Sweet, hopefully its the TGS demo…

  • And where is the Vita version?

    • Not even announced for Japan yet. I expect an early 2013 Japan release and Spring or Summer US/EU release.

  • Aurizen

    what about the vita ver?

    • Like I said before. Not even announced for Japan, but I’d expect a early 2013 release for it in Japan and Spring/Summer 2013 for US/EU.

  • I feel happy, thankful and a bit overwhelmed.I can’t decide whether the publishers really love us or they just want us broke.I am confused?!?

  • Alex Cattaneo

    where is the vita version?

    • Why do so many people ask this? The Japan one sill has no release date. I am guess though for a early 2013 Japan release and a Spring/Summer 2013 US/EU release.

    • Solomon_Kano

It’ll probably see the same gap that MGS HD did on Vita. So… it’s somewhere in summer 2013, most likely.

  • omeganeko

these are some gooooooooood months for gaming lol

  • Anime10121

Fantastic news!  I get to finally see what all the fuss is about next month :P

And I also get to try out MGR:R too :D

  • Zonic505

FINALLY, been waiting so long to hear a release date. So looking forward to trying this (& the MGR demo) out after so many years of hearing how good the games are.

  • margherita mastropaolo

    day one for me thanks

  • Vita version…?

    • That still hasn’t gotten a Japan release date yet either. I expect early 2013 Japan and Spring 2013 US/EU.

  • WAIT, does the US get a special edition like the Japanese one!!!!!! i must know

  • “Djehuty, Target Bravo. I’m Cumming!”-Viola
    can’t wait XD

  • Neophoton

    This made my day. <3

  • Solomon_Kano

October? Awwwww yea! I can’t wait to play ZOE again. Best mecha game ever.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

    Too many… titles… I’m… not… gonna make… it… Oh shi-!!

*drowns in tidal wave of incoming games*

  • Shiki

WOW , October will rip my wallet off
But i hope that the special edition is available

  • Christopher Nunes

October will kill my wallet, but I’m going to limit what I buy. I’m going to get Dead or Alive 5 for the PS3, Ragnarok Odyssey for the Vita, Pokemon Black/White 2 for the DS, Persona 4: Golden for the Vita, and finally this! And for the rest of my money… going straight for the Wii U Deluxe Edition!

I’m going to pre-order it when I get the chance!

  • Yet another good title for my birthday month =^_^=

  • Zero Shift

So a MGR demo with ZoEHD, just like how ZoE1 came with a MGS2 demo. That’s cute Konami.

Already got my copy pre-ordered. The moment they announced a collector’s edition (if they do), I’m upgrading the pre-order ASAP. Seriously, can’t wait for this HD collection. ZoE2 is possibly my favorite game of all time.

  • brian yep

This is surprising since amazon still has it down for 12/31/2012.
I should have expected Konami to use it as a vehicle for Metal Gear.

  • Lucky_x

    Hallelujah! a release date
