By Ishaan . September 20, 2012 . 11:10am

Sony have a PlayStation Vita game that they didn’t reveal at their press conference—a sequel to PSOne RPG Over My Dead Body (or Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke in Japanese), which received a PSP remake last year. report that this sequel was teased at TGS this week. Shoji Masuda, the game’s director, says that last year he mentioned a sequel to Over My Dead Body. This year, the game has made a little bit of progress so Masuda can show a tiny bit of it. Here are a few photographs that Famitsu’s team took:

I hate when I click a link to see a scantily clad girl and it ends up being a dude.

mmmm look at dat stomach, it looks as firm and textured as a honeydew melon.

Always welcoming of new jRPGs… hopefully this makes it to the west.

  • This gives me a sad. I wanted to play the original and now I want to play this. And bar learning a whole new and greatly complex written language I never will. :'(

      Never say never…

I really like the fact that Sony is bringing old RPGs to life. With luck, this might result in a new Legend of Dragoon or Legend of Legaia games.

Also, I wanted to play the PSP remake, but it never got localized. In a perfect world, they would localize this new game as a package with the first one included. At least, they can localize this new one and hopefully we won’t miss much story-wise.

1st screen reminds me games like Saga Frontier II or Legend of Mana… I would so play this argh!

  • the first screenshot looks so interesting!

I imported Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke (PSP) and will instant-buy this the moment it is available for pre-order.

Bright, colorful, stylish, and artsy. I like this very much. Why has no one picked up the first game yet, even as a digital download?! Damnit…

Ok let’s analyze. Ummm this makes it about 7 potentially awesome games coming to the Vita in Japan that have been announce or showed so far at TGS. Now, I must say I’m more impress than how I was at the Sony conference. I dare anyone to say that the Vita’s future isn’t looking much better now. :p

the Vita’s future isn’t looking much better now

Oh, I see what you did there.

  • Someone needs to bring over the first game on PSP already.

XSeed, Aksys, Atlus, anyone? Where are you guys!?

    •  Sony should of pushed for it, it is their handheld. T__T

  • Sony did show a lot of RPG’s for Vita but let’s see how many will come to the west and how fast. At the moment I am tempted to let go of my PS3 for a Vita because the lack of RPG’s on my taste. But I think this will happen next year because Ragnarok Odyssey is not enough content.

    •  At least God Eater 2 likely will…

  • ddh819

thinking its not coming over to the US unless pokemon were involved

  • Never heard of this game, but it warms my heart to see three-generation-old games getting followups. Not even being facetious.

  • Whats that language barrier? You wont let me play this!? OVER MY DEAD BODY! >_<

  • I heard that the first game is awesome, so I’m hoping that we will at least get the sequel (in english)

  • sd28

looks good here’s hoping the vita gets a killer ap and gets a sales boost

  • kroufonz

scea never bring the PS1 or PSP remake, i am not gonna hope to much for localization.

pray that the usual niche publisher would pick this up.

  • DarkWaterClone

I hope this comes out of Japan. I also hope that the first one will still leave Japan.
