The Last Express, a well-known PC adventure game released in 1997 by the creator of Prince of Persia, Jordan Mechner, is headed to the iPhone and iPad this week. The game will be released on September 27th, and you can watch a trailer for the iOS version below:

Set in 1914, prior to World War I, The Last Express takes place aboard a train called the Orient Express, on its final journey from Paris to Constantinople. You play as Robert Cath, a doctor with a mysterious past, who is a fugitive on the run, and find yourself mixed up in an assortment of mysteries.

I wonder if this version has captions. The lack thereof was already annoying enough on PC, but on a smartphone/tablet, where sometimes you can’t hear things or need to disable the audio, it would be an even bigger problem.

That character movement hurt my eyes to watch. If only it was as smooth as Hotel Dusk.

This game is amazing and while it’s visuals may look rough (Only the action scenes are smooth due to budget issues), it’s still one of the most interesting games I’ve ever played.

  • I love me sum adventure games. This didn’t look that interesting, but I might check it out still just because I love the genre so damn much.

I love good adventure games too! Might give this one a try… I can get past the questionable animation if the story is strong enough :)
