By Ishaan . September 26, 2012 . 1:15pm

Atlus have released new screenshots of Nintendo 3DS brawler, Code of Princess, slated for release in October. As previously detailed, Code of Princess is developed by the team that created Guardian Heroes, and includes co-op and versus online multiplayer modes.

Grabbing a launch copy of Code of Princess will net you a Sound and Visual Book, containing a collection of art from Kinu Nishimura, as well as a soundtrack CD from ACE.

Code of Princess will be released on October 9th in North America.

There was no word on a European release was there for this?

Well, at least they definitely want to get it to us, that’s encouraging. Probably going to be a 2013 release at this rate, though.

      • KHSoraKeyBlade

Well thank you for the heads up! I literally had no idea. I did hear that it was supposed to be coming and then it wasn’t so this is some what reassuring that it is at least trying to come out here.

I have never played Guardian Heroes, I mostly got interested in this because I like that it’s same artist as 999. I am very excite for this, hopefully I can finish Devil Survivor by the 9th.

  • I’m glad this is getting a western release, it is a fun game.
I hope they’ve fixed the bugs, like character images appearing twice (, and slow down issues when there’s a lot of enemies on screen.

    • Lightthrower

I have the japanese version and it is horrid, but Atlus said that the slowdown has been fixed soooo hopefully it will be better here :-).

    • Julien_N

Wow, what a weird glitch. O_o
Not weird in the sense that is looks game-breaking or totally distorted, but because it seems so easy to discover while play-testing the game. %)
But it was said in a previous article that the bugs and the slowdown would be fixed for the Western release if I remember well.

Hopin’ the OST has a decent amount of tracks (& the artbook has a good amount of pages as well). Been collecting a lot of LE/CE/etc. & pre-order CDs lately, as they’re great to listen to in the car.

    • puchinri

I listen to mine in the car as well. ^u^
And yeah, considering it’s Ace especially, I really hope there’s a nice number of tracks.

    • If this is the same as the Japanese version it’s only gonna have 8 tracks.

  • Ohhhhhhhhh great, now I have to buy this. Kinu Nishimura, plus now the OST + artbook. I literally cannot resist artbooks or OST bonuses… ugh. XD

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    Already mine :D

  • Oh that’s actually coming out here?

  • Jesse

    Already on preorder at Gamestop.

  • A shame we will probably never get the 2-disc OST or the complete art-book.

I had to choose between pre-ordering this or buying Ys Origins. I chose CoP. I don’t appreciate the censorship in the boxart or promotional material though Atlus. As long as the game itself stays uncensored though it’s fine. I can got the original stuff from the Japanese site and blog.

    • ronin4life

      What was censored?

      • Hinataharem

I guess the big logo over her goods

      • Solagnes breasts, on the official boxart and the wallpapers. In Japan official art has her wearing two outfits. One with all the cleaves and another one that slightly covers her up. Atlus decided to just show her in only the ones that covers her breasts a bit. The box art censorship is blatant and stupid. If they didn’t wanna her breasts to be prominent they could have just used the Japanese art.

    • AFatHouseCat

If boobs on a boxart is the only thing selling a game the game has a lot more to worry about than boxart. Some American retailers wont carry covers with boobs front and center, like with the Catherine release, so putting a logo there to get an already niche title out to more retailers and hopefully more customers in order to fund MORE niche releases doesn’t seem like a bad compromise.

  • puchinri

    So. . . which part is the art booklet? Everything looks pretty thin. 0v0;
Is this art booklet as tiny as the Xenoblade one?

I’m really looking forward to the game though, all around. We’re going to pre-order soon, and even though I really wanted to get a Wii U and Pikmin 3, we decided it was too much to pass up CoP, HM, Style Savvy and the soon to be AC.

    • The mini art booklet contains the CD. It’s even smaller than the Xenoblade one we got.

      • puchinri

        Oh, goodness. ;A;
Well, I guess we get some art at least. TTuTT
