That’s a pretty hefty number of launch day games. The Wii-U definitely has support. Now it’s just time to wait and see whether this will explode into a massive market of core games.

  • http://wwwdonicwebstartscom.webstarts.com/ donicx

this off topic but check this out http://www.shiftylook.com/comics/klonoa

  • Domii

Very impressive line up. Still waiting for The Wonderful 101 to come out so I can pick this up.

  • XxStoicmonkeyxX

If this isn’t a good lineup then i don’t know what possibly could be.

NG3, ZombiU AND TTT3? My life is in your hands Nintendo!

    • raitouniverse

      TTT3? Holy S***

  • ShawnOtakuSomething
  • idrawrobots

    My wallet hurts already.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_EUSPDCE22Z6ETYY3W5XRZ2SFZU Darrel

    Better than the 3DS launch

  • malek86

I’ll probably get NG3. Although Zombi U sounds like a good idea too, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had a (good) Ninja Gaiden.

    • Domii

You should at least wait till some reviews and extended gameplay vids of NG3: Razors Edge to come out. Unfortunately Team ninja has been hit or miss lately.

  • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

There’s a huge chance Nintendo will monopolize the holidays with this. I don’t like them, never did, but I’ll give it to them: strategically speaking they are leaps and bounds ahead of the competition~.

    • Domii

Well I’ve always loved Nintendo, but the aspect I love the most about them is, how smart they are when it comes to running their business. Year after year uneducated/biased analyst or journalist spell doom for Ninty. And guess what, Ninty always exceeds expectations by being the most profitable of the big 3.

      • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

You’d (and I’m not talking to -you-, just making a general statement) have to be retarded to think Nintendo could ever face doom. They have so much nostalgia to capitalize on with fanboys that there’s no way they could flop. The 3DS may’ve started terribly but if they could’ve bothered to make a Pokemon game for it, then it’d have spiked to millions in a pinch~.

Like I said, I can’t stand the company or, most, of their franchises. But I do give them props for being so good at marketing~.

        • Domii

Agreed. Couldn’t of said it better myself.

  • UUDDLRLR BASTART

It is about time I give up my long standing tradition of buying home consoles on launch.

    • keithmaxx

Do that on the next home console that comes along… this year’ll be a blast, and there’s just ONE new gaming device to choose from!

  • imaguni

Seeing all this support is good and all, but I’m going to have to pass on getting this at launch, my wallet is spared!

  • masaYT

not a good launch for me even though there are some great games on there, what i mean is the ones i like on the list i’ve already played on other consoles and a few of them coming out for the wiiU i’ve already pre-ordered for the other consoles too.

  • Spider-Man

Noting interesting whatsoever. Guess I’ll wait a year or two. Better than the 3DS’s launch lineup, though.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_42AD7BXAVNLT35L7YDCMAILIOA dajuanb

    terrible

  • kupomogli

Nothing but ports.  I’m aware of the exclusives in that list, but it being so close to Halloween I’m acting out my part as a Nintendo fanboy who happens to miss all of those when bashing a system they don’t own.

  • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

What! No Super Smash Bros. or Pokemon games!? >_<

    "Starts hyperventilating, faints X_X"

    • Kalis Konig

You were really expecting to see those at launch? I feel really bad for you :-(

      • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

Eh not really, but it’s Nintendo. Those are like solid titles for them so I just thought maybe they would lol.

    • Krisi92

What… You know that Sakurai only started doing anything with the next Smash Bros. after Kid Icarus was done, right? You also know that it was less than a year ago, right? And you also know that making a game like that takes at least 3 years, right?
Also, I don’t think there ever was a Pokémon launch title for any Nintendo system at all.

      • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

“Sigh” I really wasn’t all that serious about it. At least Leah seemed to get that.

  • Zonic505

Wow, so much better than the 3DS launch titles. Already want the Deluxe for extra storage & Nintendo Land, plus NSMBU, Rayman Legends, Mighty Switch Force HD, & The Wonderful 101. Even if some are just ports of multiplatform games, at least they’re popular ones to show the Wii U can play games the PS3 & 360 can.

  • $30632660

I see 6 Launch Games that I would pick up, some games I want are in the Launch Window.

  • masaYT

    WiiU Port central.

    • keithmaxx

Which emphasizes the point that the Wii U can do what the others can.

I bet there’ll be much more interesting games that’ll make great use of the GamePad from here on out, notwithstanding any “exclusives” announcements.

  • Shadowman

I see no Bayonetta 2 on this list you will get my cash once I have Bayonetta, for now I wait.

  • Ben Sylvia

While I really would love to play NSMBU at launch, not gonna be able to get the system at launch :( hoping for Christmas.

  • AweOfShe

Looking forward to the Wonderful 101.

  • kylehyde

Actually I think that is kinda decent. Anyway, I don’t think that I’m going to buy a Wii-U during the first months, specially considering how much are goint to inflate the prices in my country, but two or three months later I will grab one.

  • http://vanilladice.deviantart.com/ Dice

I want *two* of these games, two of which are already going to be out for the PS360…. D:

  • Christopher Nunes

These are the currently the ONLY launch games for the Wii U I’m interest in:

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
    NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge
    New Super Mario Bros. U
    WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Hyper
    ZombiU
    Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition

To me, these are the really good ones but I might look at the others. Currently another game I plan on getting when it comes out:

    Aliens: Colonial Marines

Though I have to say, not a bad lineup for the Wii U launch date… compare to the 3DS and Vita which sadly were great handheld devices but poor launch lineups for their games.

It’s going to take the next 7 weeks for me to FULLY pay off the Wii U. Hopefully I’ll be able to manage it considering my next work schedule getting changed around because of a new employee for the same position… hopefully we’ll given an extra hour of work time, heck I’ll take any days if the other employees can’t come in to get the Wii U!

  • http://www.cubiz.tk/ Auragar

Why isn’t Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on here? It releases in March for 3DS/Wii U in US… oh well. For the list there it is… eh… it is ok. I only like a couple games on there really. :/

  • Carlos Daniel Flores Loreto

Not a single JRPG. Or even a game Im interested in. The only one would be MSForce HD.

    • http://www.cubiz.tk/ Auragar

It is very disappointing not having a JRPG but there is like… 2 or so good games.

    • keithmaxx

Those things take time to develop, and sadly JRPGs just aren’t so high on Westerners’ must-buy list to project great sales and warrant launch-day development priority.

  • isfuturebright

Well Ubisoft is really into the WiiU $$ :P

  • AlexanderPappas

I’m excited even though I’m not getting it launch week. Pikmin 3, new super Mario bros. U, the wonderful 101, and bayonetta 2 are all things that make me want this system even more! Bring on a starfox and or metroid and I’m all in!

  • SLick123456789111

    Darn , no Wonderful 101.

  • Anthony Black

It’s too bad the only Nov. 18th game on this list that I’m interested in (besides Nintendo Land, but I’ve already pre-ordered a Black WiiU) is ZombiU.

Any other launch titles here that look like they might be interesting are just ports.
Some interesting titles in the Launch Window, though.

  • Kevi Johnson-el

Cool launch lineup nothing I want to really play, might just pick the wiiU up anyways with mario :/

  • Freud_Hater

No games I could be remotely interested in… except maybe Pikmin 3, but that can wait. Mario U. will just be the same as any “New” Super Mario games, so not interested… Uhh, that’s pretty much all I could’ve liked… Maybe Darksiders 2 but that’s on a ton of other consoles I already own…

  • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

I love this launch lineup and window. We get some great exclusives as well as upgraded games from other consoles.

  • http://simplephilistine.wordpress.com/ Arla

Tons of great games for me personally.

I could have gotten some of them on my PS3 earlier but everything seems to run like crap on it so I hope the extra juice on the Wii U makes em run smoother.

Assassins Creed III, Batman Arkham City Armored Edition, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, New Super Mario Bros U, NBA2K13 and ZombiU. That’s packed for me. I’ll probably just end up buying two of them at launch.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/5UFEVTPDTXD33NSMUFMX4TEAMQ Mike

Just out of curiousity but what model of PS3 are you running?

      • http://simplephilistine.wordpress.com/ Arla

80GB PS3. The fully featured one before they gimped all the other ones.

  • brian yep

One would think Nintendo would have learned not to make a console so expensive, with 3DS going down below $200 so quickly and PS3 being so hard to sell at first.

    • Arrei

How much less expensive can you get than $300? The PS3 launched at FIVE hundred.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I can’t agree with you though here. Considering this is a next generation consoles and home consoles with HD.

This price is quite okay as they provides choices for you guys to choose there.

And PS3 being so hard to sell at first is surely because of the 599$ price tag there.T_T

    • keithmaxx

Naw, both price points are really good for a Nintendo console.

That said, can you imagine how much the next Sony or Microsoft console would be priced at when it launches? Crazy, I tell you.

  • Solomon_Kano

ZombiU, Sega All-Stars, Darksiders 2, Scribblenauts, and Epic Mickey 2 all on day one? I won’t be getting a Wii U quite that soon, but it’s good to know that there’ll be games I’m interested in getting from the jump.
