DJMax Ray For iOS Sneaks Out For Free With In-App Purchases

By Ishaan . October 1, 2012 . 2:25pm

DJMax for iOS is finally out, and the game’s final title is DJMax Ray. The game is downloadable for free, but has in-App purchases. Neowiz say that Ray has both older songs from previous DJMax titles, as well as entirely new ones.

Two of these new songs—Mr. Lonely and GIRLZ—can be found here. More details on the, including how it’s played, can be found on its iTunes page.

While I was hoping for a technika iOS release, this will do I guess. Gameplay feels like an upgraded tap sonic.

The songs are key sounded which stays true to the djmax series, as well as its difficulty. The addition of missions is great. Well as offline play! Didn’t like that pay to play crap.

But just like any Neowiz Internet game out there… Some reason I have trouble connecting to pmang as well as the in game store… It sucks cause well… I can’t buy any songs..
I have had this problem since tapsonics update adding pmang. Games such as ringstar, tapsonic and now this one don’t allow me to purchase anything. If any one has a solution to this please let me know because its driving me insane (using iPad 2 ios6)

Weird thing is that when I am at my schools campus, these games connect to pmang just fine. And it isn’t a network issue because my signal is really strong steaming a 15 mb per second rate. While my schools is so choppy…..

Hmmmm, it’s actually quite cool.  I expected Technika as well, but I’ll take this since Technika is coming to Vita anyway.  It has one of my favorite DJ Max songs “Phoenix Virus” as one of the free songs, which is cool.  I’ve only seen that song in the “DJ Max Online” PC game I played a long time ago.

edit: I can’t seem to buy any of the bundles or packs, anybody else having that problem? Instead of prices, I’m seeing “9MAX” as the price of the bundle, and the game just hangs forever if I try to purchase anything. I have to kill the app and restart it.

Didn’t like it. Something about that slim iPod touch with that small screen and my big hands and thumbs just didn’t work.
